Our tranquil home is close to the beautiful medieval village of Besse. It is close to the Sancy Mountains which are part of the Auvergne Volcanoes National Park. There are lots of summer outdoor activities and in the winter there is skiing and a range of winter sports at Super Besse, which is 7km up the road. We like our location because it offers activities for those who want to relax as well as for those who want to be active. Our home is well equipt and caters for all ages.

The space

Our home provides a large family space which caters for children, family and friends. We have spent many years enjoying and enhancing its facilities. We enjoy cooking and have ensured that the large kitchen is well equipped for those who want to cook.
We have spent a lot of time developing the garden so that is a tranquil place to enjoy. We have created two patio areas - one large enough for outdoor eating and the other to sit and listen to the stream that flows at the front of the house. We have ensured that the enclosed garden is safe and secure for children and dogs. We have provided garden furniture and a BBQ for the warmer months.

Guest access

All areas of the main house are availabe for the use of guests.

Interaction with guests

Our neighbour Alain is our main contact point and he will meet you on your arrival. He will ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible.

We expect that our guests will treat our home as they would want their own home to be treated in the same circumstances.
We are happy to have pets and have ensured that the garden is a secure area. We would appreciate it that our guests clear up any dog mess in the garden and are responsible for their animal's behaviour.
We would ask that our guests do not smoke indoors.

I am a retired teacher and have owned my home in France for the last 12 years. My partner and I have lovingly restored the house and decided to offer its charm and atmosphere to Airbnb clients when we are not in France. We both love the French way of life with its relaxed life style. We have a large family and eleven grandchildren who visit our French home and enjoy the experience.
Where we live is an ideal location for visiting Italy and Spain which we do often. We are keen walkers and often walk, with our dog, up the beautiful mountains or round the tranquil lakes and valleys. There is so much to see as the season changes and as keen photographers we like to capture the moment.
When back home I spend my spare time making ceramic agate ware in my small studio and we both enjoy our gardening project which is trying to tame a large unruly area!
