If you want to spend some time amidst cricket sounds and early morning bird calls to quieten your soul while taking in a sample of the larger wilderness of the area, this is it. Ashok and Kalyani have put their heart into striking a great balance of maintaining the natural habitat of the place while also providing for the basics. We traveled as a family with a 10yr old and a 4yr old who were just by themselves roaming the rocks and grass and finding/tracking bugs, butterflies and touch-me-nots. Co-existing with the creepy crawlies was a big part of our fun. We carried a hammock which added to the kids fun. Our tent provided good insulation from the night's cold. Carry some Odomos to keep mosquitoes away during the brief period in the evening that they come out. The facilities were thoughtfully setup and put together with passion without disturbing the environs. The food was simple and delicious. We must thank the keeper Ezhumalai and Lakshmi for their care. To top it all, it was great to talk to Ashok about the history of the place, their experiences and their urge to give a bit of the "wild" life they've led to like minded folks through wilder trails. Come here discarding usual touristy expectations of "adventure" and "getting stuff done" and just relax, take in the place and slow down to really see the life around you.

Thanks for the lovely and heart-warming review, Shobana. Great that the kids had a good time. Thanks also for the feedback about the mosquitoes - this is a new development here thanks to 'human development'. Was a pleasure to host you.
