Clarice's apartment is fantastic - great location - you're close to town, but in a lovely and quiet setting. The set-up is very nice, you can hang out and cook and relax at home and bask in the glory of the view from the balcony, or hop into town for a meal out. Clarice is also very prompt with communication, and the check-in and check-out were very easy!
Nice apartment with great views, spacious yet cosy, and appears exactly as shown in photos. Well equipped with lovely balcony and reasonably located for Chamonix. Bus stop is a bit farther away than described in the listing, it's probably five minutes without skis/boots. There were quite a few issues before we arrived concerning when the previous guests would leave, as the owner had arranged for the previous guests to leave after we were supposed to arrive. This took quite a lot of time and stress to resolve but in the end was OK, largely thanks to Madame Mimi, who took care of the check in and was excellent throughout. There was also a major issue in that the front door lock was broken and we were unable to get into the apartment for more than two hours on the first day. It took many phone calls from my mobile to the host, in Italy, to resolve this, which was obviously expensive. After these initial problems though we had a lovely stay, enjoyed the location and came home fully relaxed.
We stayed in this apartment for 3 nights, and it was just enough for our family (2 adults + 2 kids). The apartment matches the description (with the small bonus of the second restroom on the upper level) and is located in the quiet Chamonix suburb, just 15 minutes of easy walk from pedestrian area in Chamonix. The Mont Blanc view from the balcony is stunning! Special thanks to Madame Mimi, who met us outside and shown the apartment, for the useful tips about local supermarkets and the best way to get to the city center. It was a pleasure to meet her! Note the "wifi on demand" - it means that you have to get to the Chamonix center, find some tobacco store and "charge" the cellular internet modem in the apartment.
