Spacious, airy, and completely private two bedroom apartment with ten foot tin ceilings, a sunroom with hammock, a study, and easy access to the L (12 minute walk) and M trains (6 minute walk). We are also surrounded by a wide variety of cafes and shops amongst other things.

The space

Hello! The apartment is completely private, with its own locking door. It is railroad style and on the top floor of a two-family building that was built in 1901. There are two queen-size beds, and sheets and towels are provided. The Apartment is 1050 square feet. It has very nice natural light and high ceilings, with a lot of the original detail. Also as mentioned, there is a nice little chillout hammock in the southern facing sunroom.

Guest access

Guests have access to all the available amenities, including: the sunroom, wifi, kitchen, and office area/desk.

Other things to note

Please be exceptionally considerate of our neighbors, as this is a quiet neighborhood with longtime residents. I am personally friends with the neighbors on both sides. Walls are thin, and loud voices carry right through them so please be mindful and keep the noise down as much as possible.

We had a great time staying in Andrew’s apartment. The apartment is beautiful and clean. We had four of us staying there and it was really roomy. It’s close to two subway stops and really easy to get to central Manhattan and Brooklyn. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay then I would highly recommend this apartment. Andrew was super responsive and helpful with advise as we were coming in from the UK. Definitely worth booking!

Andrew's place is definitely what the AirB&B experience is all about. Besides being well-equipped and well-appointed, his large apartment is thoughtfully and eclectically furnished and decorated creating an unpretentious "vintage" atmosphere while also feeling fresh and welcoming. And for the complete experience, please explore this quiet neighborhood and take a very short walk to Norma's Corner Shoppe for delicious everything.

It's hard to write a review that fully captures how amazing Andrew and his place are! The space itself is absolutely gorgeous, spotless, and has a wonderful peaceful, cozy vibe. It's also very large by NYC standards and there is ample room for more than one person to stay comfortably. I loved the natural sunlight that came in during the day through the many windows. I also enjoyed the hammock in the sunroom -- it was the perfect, tranquil spot to unwind after a busy day in the city. It's obvious how much care Andrew put into decorating and equipping the apartment - everything is lovely and super clean. There were also nice details like extra blankets, fans for hotter days, toiletries, cooking utensils, and anything else you might need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The neighborhood around the apartment is also fantastic. It's quiet and relaxed but still a lot of activity (restaurants, bars, shops, etc.) on the busier streets a couple of blocks away. I used both the L and the M trains to travel to and from the city and both stops were just a short walk, although the M is a little closer. Aside from the great apartment, Andrew was the best host I've encountered in my many trips through Air B&B. He responded quickly to my questions and made himself readily available for anything I might need. I had the good fortune to run into him a couple of times and he couldn't have been friendlier. He gave me great neighborhood recommendations, chatted with me about a variety of things, and just generally seemed like an awesome person. He even helped me carry my ridiculously overpacked luggage down the stairs and outside while I waited on my ride to the airport! Don't bother looking for a better place to stay in Ridgewood than Andrew's apartment-- there isn't one! 10/10 times I would choose this spot again. Thanks, Andrew!

Andrews apartment was very clean, comfortable and spacious. After a busy day at Manhattan with a lot of impressions, this quiet neighborhood is the perfect place to relax. The apartment is stocked with things like shampoo, soap, spices, coffee, some water, and all of other stuff you don't want to buy for just one week. We were very glad to have air condition, even in late September. As a host Andrew was very helpful. He would always respond within minutes and had a lot of tip for what to do (and not to do) in New York. For those who likes to be surrounded by trendy and stylish interior, this apartment is perfect! You could really tell that Andrew had put a lot of work in making this apartment to a fully home. I would definitely book this apartment again!

I live downstairs and work down the street, so am happy to answer questions or deal with any problems you might have. You probably won't see me much unless you need something though.
