This unique Williamsburg penthouse spans the second floor of our two-story apartment. The penthouse has its own private entrance, bathroom and a north facing terrace with a hammock that overlooks the Williamsburg / Manhattan skyline and gets amazing sunsets. It comfortably sleeps 2 people in the queen bed, with an additional queen air mattress option for larger groups. It is conveniently located close to the L/G/J/M/Z trains making it easy to get wherever you want to go.

The space

Our penthouse is on the 5th story of a modern 5 story walk up building (no elevator) and it spans the entire second floor of our two story apartment. The penthouse stands alone on the top floor as a private suite with its own entrance, bathroom, and large terrace with inspiring views of Brooklyn and Manhattan. The penthouse does not have its own private kitchen, but you do have access to the kitchen downstairs which is shared with us who live in the apartment below the penthouse. From the penthouse you have a view of the Manhattan skyline and the surrounding Williamsburg neighborhood. The apartment is furnished with a mixture of vintage, modern, and handmade furniture including a custom queen bed that comfortably sleeps 2 guests and an optional queen air mattress for larger groups.

Guest access

In addition to the penthouse suite which is an open floor plan with a sleeping area, living room area, closet, private bathroom and terrace, you also have access to the (shared) kitchen downstairs. If you decide not to use the kitchen, the penthouse upstairs serves as a private stand alone apartment that is totally closed off from the rest of the apartment with a door that locks.

The other rooms downstairs are not part of the Airbnb space.

Interaction with guests

My roommate Chris and I (also Chris) both live in the apartment below the penthouse, one of us will meet you when you arrive to check you in and show you around. We are always available if you should need anything or have any questions about the place or about the neighborhood, so feel free to text me or message me anytime.

There is no smoking inside, but you can smoke on the outdoor terrace- just be sure not to flick your cigarette or anything off the balcony, please use the trash can.

Just wonderful! Chris was kind enough to check us in after hours and show us around. He's a great communicator and welcoming. The room is immaculate with a killer view. Comfortable bed with fluffy and firm pillows. Close to the subway, restaurants and bars. We'd return in a heartbeat!

Great location and fantastic view, what an introduction to New York! Very comfortable and clean (the kitchen is shared downstairs). And if Chris can guarantee 30 degrees and sunshine as he provided us, its perfect ;) There are two subway stops near by (5 mins walk) both called Lorimer St, one an over ground, one underground... but we walked, and do try the walk into Manhatten over the Williamsburg Bridge, well worth stroll. And to add to Chris's list of spots to visit, Velo vegan cafe bar, tiny spot with a happy hour on Pilsner 5:30 - 7:30 (good for that Yorkshireman!). Oh, and if your feeling energetic, try a walk to Coney Island (but maybe not in that 30 degrees!! #hotfeet)
