Get away from it all and spend your summer in Maine! Charming quintessential rustic Maine cottage. Don't worry about sandy toes in this comfortable, casual cottage. Private and secluded with a back yard patio and yet just a stones throw from Perkins Cove and all Ogunquit have to offer! This cottage is not available weekly and is only available as a full season rental.

This property is unique because while we are just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Ogunquit we are just a stones throw from Perkins cove where you can find numerous restaurants and cute boutiques and also the best lobster rolls in town ! You can also access the start of the famed Marginal Way walking path that winds along the rocky coast all the way into town and to the Ogunquit beaches.

Whitney was very accommodating as I had to write to her to ask her to supply sheets and towels as we were all flying in from various cities (I think it would be helpful to explicitly state that towels and sheets are not included on the website). The cottage was quite rustic, but cute. It was very hard to find in the dark as we arrived late. The instructions should be more clear stating "it is right next to the Riverbend Motel, tucked behind a large white house so that you can't see it from the road." The door was open and keys on the table as we were told. It had dropped into the 40s the first night and when we arrived all the windows were open, so it was quite cold. We didn't realize the cabin didn't have heat as it wasn't mentioned in the description and probably should be. The beds are older so they are quite squeaky and hard to roll over in. I had to call Whitney late morning of our first full day as we didn't have any hot water and the Wifi was not working. We ended up just going out for the day and were waiting for a call back to say it was fixed. When that call didn't come, we headed back as we had to get ready for a play at the Playhouse (FUN!) to find it had been fixed (the hot water; we never got the WiFi to work). The living room was comfy to hang out in. The front door did not open from the inside, so we had to go around the back to exit the house. Great location as it is right at the start of Marginal Way. Not sure it was worth the money I spent though given some of the mishaps and amenities that were assumed.

The location we excellent. It was near everything and yet quiet in the evening. A perfect place to enjoy a relaxing time.

The cottage was in very nice condition. Some essentials were not in place, however we were the first to stay their for the season. It was hard to find the exact location of the cottage when following GPS. The house does not have a number on it. Location is AMAZING for the price! Honestly like a 5 minute walk to the main street.
