A forest house straight from a fairytale. It used to be a foresters' home - now available to you, with all the magnificence of the surrounding nature, a sparkling mountain stream, 3G signal, a beautiful bread oven for culinary pleasures and a quick access to neighbouring spa resorts, to the biggest climbing site in the country, to Celje, Laško and other sights. A thing to note: it is suprisingly big and generously roomy, used to be home to two families of foresters. :D
The house has a very pleasant atmosphere: it has two bedrooms, two chill-out rooms, a big rustic kitchen and a bread oven to make your delicacies in it or just to chill and warm yourself on in the colder, beautiful autumn and winter days. The surrounding forests and hills offer a treasure of cycling and hiking oportunities:
- famous Laško spa is 15 min away by car (must-try)
- biggest natural climbing site in the country, 5min away
- most famous sights in this part of Slo within an hour drive away (Ljubljana (1h), Maribor, Celje (36min), Logarska valley (1h), Rogla or Golte ski resort (1h), Charterhouse Žiče (45min), Ptuj (1h), Kostanjevica na Krki (1:30), etc.).
- It takes about 2h to get to from Zagreb (Croatia) or Graz (Austria)
To the whole house, with the exception of some closets.
There's also a table tennis table ;)
Interaction with guests
I'm usually available on my phone. I love to give tips :)
Other things to note
The house has all the usual comfort of an urban dwelling (comfort, fully equipped modern kitchen, bathroom, running water, boiler, electricity, mobile phone signal (3G), gas stove. That said, it still is a mountain cabin, so expect a bit of romantic rustic roughness - heating is by wood. And bring proper clothing for the outside.
It is possible to raise tents on the meadow and make a camp fire, grill etc.
The house has quite a history. Built in 1939 as a solitary forest-house for the foresters of a wealthly land-owner (in the place of a previous farm, of which the typical granary remains) it acted as a partisan resistance spot during WWII, where the two forester families often gave shelters to guerrilla fighters evading the occupying army in the surrounding hills and forests.
Smoking is only allowed outside of the house, where the only thing to note is acting responsibly towards the environment.
One of the guests will be given the knowledge and responsibility to handle the big oven firing and handling, and managing the water heating boiler which can be heated by wood or electricity. It's easy, but only one person should bear this responsibility, which makes others not allowed to perform these particular tasks.
Burning campfires outside is allowed on designated spots, with one thing to note: it's not allowed to make them with firewood intended for heating up the house. It should be done with old wood from the forest around the house and some designated wood on the property. It never runs out :)
If you intend to grill, bring charcoal!
Finally, take care of the environment and clean the meadow and forest of your debris for a sutinable pleasure! ;)
It is worth noting, that this is a private residence, it's not a professional hotel-service and that is the true beauty of Airbnb, if you ask me :)
The sooner we set the approximate check-in time-frame, the better. At least two days before arrival, please.

In accordance with old Slovene mountain tradition, all garbage produced in the hut(s), is caried down by the guests themselves.
