This is an older, very spacious, well lived in apartment in a fantastic location for experiencing Naples. The views from the kitchen and rooftop terrace really are spectacular and everything you need is nearby. We arrived early by train and were able to arrive early at the apartment which was much appreciated. Sarah and Matilde were very welcoming and on hand for anything we required.

Very charming and authentic neighborhood, you can get real feel of Naples. Fresh market around the corner, close to metro station and funicular. Spectacular views from the double terrace - we enjoyed it a lot (piano as well :)). A lot of space (even more than needs 4 people). Good communication with a host. The only problems we encountered: front gate to the house - it seemed to open only for neapolitans immediately - although we had a correct key - we struggled every time before unlocking it :(

This is a spacious old apartment with great views in a small street amongst the hustle and bustle of city life. The flat is great but needs a bit of updating. We had problems with the showers going hot and cold and the washing machine didn't work. Matilde was always very helpful though and gave us use of her flat next door. As a family with kids this wasn't ideal though. This is not a tourist area and the atmosphere in the small streets is buzzing. It is easy walk everywhere but not easy to find the flat when you first arrive with your suitcases. Taxis do not go to the address as the streets are to narrow and full of markets and people. It is a 10 min walk from metro but if you have cases the streets are cobbled and uneven. For most this is ok but a bit hard with kids pulling own cases. over all we loved this location and the flat and recommend it but check the problems have been fixed first.

Response from Sara&Matilde:
Dear Vicky, I am so sorry that in your review you described the .problem you unfortunately had with the shower - and we apologize for it- but we really don't understand why you didn't say that we called in immediately a technical who repaired the malfunctioning . We hope you loved Naples.

The location is center to Naples. Felt safe in regards to several gated and locked entries. The incredible views on the terrace and the upstair bedroom morning and night are amazing. Matilde was able to adjust our time for arrival and provide us information for car storage. The air bnb is very spacious. The water in the shower needs to have a happy medium it was either really hot or cold. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Sara and Matilde's place gives you an inside view of life in central Naples. We loved the piano and the amazing book collection. It was an easy walk to the train station and to the Centro Historico, as well as to the funicular and the archeological museum. The views from every room are great-- especially from the terrace. Great way to experience Naples.

Spacey rooftop apartment, big terrace, lots of books, especially books of Art. If you want to feel a bit Napolitan you are on the right area, very close to Spaccanapoli, narrow streets, you can find fresh fish and fruit right on the street very close to the apartment every morning. I would stay for longer.
