Keryn was great. She was very nice and did what she can to make me feel welcomed and comfortable, from helping me move in and sending me off. The room was exactly as in the photos, very comfy. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and it was only 5-minute walk to the nearest subway…

Keryn was a great host but my problem was with the chaise. It looks bigger in the picture than it actually is and I had trouble fitting on it despite being only 5ft. Other than that the place was as advertised and Keryn was very helpful in making me feel comfortable.

Response from Keryn:
Mmmm. Like it says in the caption underneath the picture, the chaise is single size and I provide two pictures, taken with my phone not by a professional photographer so I'm not sure how I would have made the chaise appear larger than it is. I myself am 5"8, slept on the chaise with no problems many a time when it was living at my sister's house, and this is the first complaint I've received from a guest. I feel that I've been extremely forthright in my advertisement and dealings with guests (in Jenny's case, this included opening up my the door to my bedroom to prove I didn't have additional people in my apt. when she heard voices from a movie playing on my computer) and I don't appreciate the subtle suggestion that I've somehow tried to mislead guests. I'd also like to add that not once during her stay did Jenny mention any issues with any of the living or sleeping arrangements. Perhaps reading more carefully next time would help this guest with any confusion regarding expectations and the reality that is clearly posted in the listing.

Hi there! I am a Pilates instructor, dance educator, and salsa dancer based in NYC. I am extremely honest, outspoken but polite, I try to remain culturally aware, and love to travel solo so I can meet new people to become friends with. I have had the opportunity to live briefly…
