'The Shed' - beautifully restored brick and flint annexe in coastal village of Morston near Blakeney on north Norfolk coast. Sleeps up to 5 in 2 bedrooms (plus loftspace) with sunny terrace / BBQ. Great location in AONB, coastal walks, beaches, galleries & shops nearby. Friendly village, great pub!

The space

The Shed is a beautifully restored brick and flint cottage - furnished and equipped with everything you need for a perfect coastal getaway. It is good for couples, 4 adults or a family of up to 5.

The main bedroom is lovely and light, with a comfortable kingsize bed, pretty fabrics, luggage bench and wall hooks for storage.

Bedroom 2 is smaller and has built-in adult sized bunk beds. Each bunk has a reading light, shelf, and there are wall hooks and storage underneath the beds. There is additional loft space with own reading light to sleep one person which is accessed from the top bunk - perfect for a child but large enough for an adult - a mattress and all bedding will be provided on request. Limited headroom here!!

Please note the bunk room does not have a door to the corridor.

The shower room has shower, loo and basin. A corridor links this and the bedrooms to the sitting room/kitchen area.

The sitting room has games, TV / DVD player, DVD library and books for you to enjoy during your stay. At one end is a compact but well equipped kitchen with electric hob, on-the-counter mini oven, fridge, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother. There is a farmhouse table and 4 chairs.

French doors lead out onto a small sunny terrace with your own BBQ and looks out over our pretty kitchen garden. Please note The Shed's small terrace adjoins our main family terrace which are separated only by a step - see photos.

As a welcome, a tasty but simple breakfast will be left for you for your first morning. This is on a DIY basis - fresh fruit, milk, croissants/bagels and preserves. Tea and coffee are also available.

Guest access

Washing machine, outside tap (warm water for washing down after the beach!), chest freezer, washing line.
We ask respectfully that you do not use our family terrace which adjoins the smaller terrace belonging to The Shed. You are most welcome though to stroll down to and to use the bottom part of our large garden and enjoy the fabulous views!

Interaction with guests

Daily - there is a pretty kitchen garden and courtyard between The Shed and main house which are in regular use. Our 3 dogs are often wondering around and are friendly!

Other things to note

Essential supplies, petrol etc can all be found in the next village of Blakeney. There are larger supermarkets in Wells (Co-op, 10 mins) and Holt (Budgens, 10 mins). All big supermarkets deliver including Waitrose. Lots of excellent delis and coffee shops etc in nearby villages of Cley and Blakeney.
We provide one bath towel per guest but no beach towels.
Please note that there is a farmyard next to The Shed which is in use by farm machinery at certain times of the year. Children must therefore be supervised when playing.

A bright, comfortable and beautifully decorated annex with everything that you could possibly need for a wonderful stay in North Norfolk. The location was wonderfully quiet, easy to find, and parking was literally outside the gate.

Great place to stay and explore this lovely part of Norfolk. Lunch at Morston Hall was amazing and Wells, Blakeney and Wiveton Hall all worth a visit.

Great accommodation - perfect for a weekend getaway with our 17 month old. Susannah and her husband were really helpful, warm and friendly hosts. Great location and would thoroughly recommend the seal boat trip.

We LOVED Susannah's place! It was absolutely beautiful, very clean, well equipped and comfy. The bed was so comfy! The surrounding area is gorgeous for walks and there's a friendly pub close by that does delicious food and a good selection of drinks. We were in Norfolk for a wedding and felt very at home at Susannah's place - in fact we weren't ready to leave! We would highly recommend a stay here!

'The Shed' was wonderful! We loved the character of the building, the layout and décor and the French windows onto the sheltered patio with barbeque. Also the breakfast ingredients left for us. Susannah was very friendly, helpful and approachable. Directions to the property worked well. The position is superb, just a short walk to Morston quay and seal boats and also to the 'Anchor' pub with its sheltered outside seating and very good food. Highly recommended!
