Small rustic cabin (NO ELECTRICITY, RUNNING WATER, TV or Wifi!) In the forest by a pond & stream, & steps from the Chwk River at the base of a mountain in the Tamihi Rec. Area. Endless trails, 4x4 roads & world class fishing! Hike, bring a horse, ATV, mtn bike, kayak or go rafting! Scroll down & click on the red "+ More" to READ ENTIRE AD BEFORE BOOKING! Check our other ads under # 1 or #3 "Fish/Bring Horses/ATV/Kayak" for availability or our B&B under "Fish/ATV/Hike/Kayak on Our Farm!!"

The space

These are sleeping cabins ***DESIGNED TO ACCOMMODATE FISHERMEN & HUNTERS!!! VERY BASIC back to nature! (Think wooden tent with a wood stove, couch, a small table, 2 or 3 chairs & beds only!) No pots, pans, dishware or utensils. The furniture is mismatched & not meant to be featured in Better Homes & Gardens! There is some staining on patio chairs & tables etc, & some damage & stains on the lino, but the beds & futons are clean! (This is why we don't have a problem with people bringing their pets!) They are swept & cleaned after each guest leaves, but these are NOT like sterile city motel rooms! They are NOT SUITABLE FOR WHINERS or most Yuppies! There has been wax dripped on the lino many times which has been scraped off, but they still feel waxy in places! Mice & other rodents & insects live outside, & they may occasionally poop on the deck & there may be cobwebs out there as well. It is swept off regularly, but they return at night! When people leave the door open, mice can get in & we can't prevent that! Please DO NOT BOOK if this is upsetting to you!!! If you are looking for something more like a hotel room, we have a large ensuite bedroom in our home also listed on Airbnb, which is spotlessly clean & may be more suitable! The cabins have a wood stove for heat, (you supply wood) and an outhouse toilet nearby. We can supply an outdoor solar shower that you can fill from the river or waterfall, but there is NO RUNNING WATER! NO INTERNET! NO TV! NO ELECTRICITY!! You supply your own sleeping bags, cooking supplies & lantern(s), firewood is available for purchase at many places along the way. (Some camping supplies available for rent) These are suitable for someone that wants to de-stress & get back to nature. We have portable 4' fencing panels to make an enclosure for those that would like to bring their horses. (extra charge would apply) QUIET, well mannered pets that DON"T GO ON THE FURNITURE are possible (but must be leashed if around the farm animals) We had someone complain that they couldn't swim in the lake, nowhere in the ad does it say you can! (The bottom is quite muddy) She also said it was "more like a swamp". In late summer, the various streams & little waterfalls that empty into the lake almost dry up. Because of that the water level drops significantly. The rains start everything flowing again. People sometimes swim in the (COLD) river (about 2 or 3 minute walk) off our beach in the summer! The same person complained about no trails nearby which was ridiculous as the trail passes directly through our property (about 1/4 block away from the cabins & have many other trails going off of that as well)

Guest access

Our acreage is on 2 levels, our house is up on the 2nd level, guests will have access to the lower level. You are welcome to go to our beach or anywhere along the river & explore the property!

Interaction with guests

We live on the property (a few minutes up the mountain) & are available most of the time, especially by phone, email or text msg! If you can't reach us, just come up the road to the main house. We are more than happy to answer questions & help you with directions & advice on what to see!

Other things to note

We have some camping supplies available for rent here or bring your own! (ie; bedding, lanterns, pots & pans, camp stove etc) Note: All candles must be enclosed in a container so they can't drip! (Too much wax was being dripped on the floors!) Guests coming for the day are charged $15. (per car) & overnight tents $20. & RV's $25. No parties (without prior written permission) & no smoking inside the cabins!

Debbie is a great host, always got back to my messages really quickly and gave great advice about the area and how to put a tarp up over the fire pit. She put up streamers for my boyfriends birthday as well :) the place is exactly as described! Rustic place close to the river for fishing. We will definitely be back!

Ah, father/sons back to nature. Tucked away in the peacefulness of the forest,Rustic Cabin#2,with plenty of room for all our gear, decent beds and a nice little deck we used for cooking and bike storage. Our view,a pond teeming with Blue Heron's, dragonflies and small birds! A couple of minute walk to the Chilliwack River where it calmed down into a pool for floating and nerf football fun. The only bummer was only a two night stay. Thank you Debbie! We hope to come back again!

Lovely and quiet place to stay. River is about 10 minute walk from the cabins. The beach exceeded expectations, river was clean, cool, and clear. A bit of clutter on the campsite. Overall, a good experience and would go back for another stay.

Response from Deborah:
I'm sorry about the clutter in the campsite, I had been away & had a new girl doing the cleaning & she neglected to clean it up. It has been rectified now, but it is very discouraging when people don't respect the environment.

The description of the camp is accurate. This is a no frills fishing camp located a short 2 minute walk to a great drift on the river. The river is not a safe place for kids to splash and giggle. There is no bathroom. Debbi was quick with communication and honest about the camp and cabin.

Response from Deborah:
Hi, I'm sorry you didn't see the outhouse! It is just before the cabins! There is also one near our beach. The left side of the beach is quite shallow & very safe for kids until late fall.
