The space

Teakettle Village is the Gateway to the famous Actun Tunichil Muknal
Cave (ATM), and you can wake up and begin your adventures.
Everyone who has experienced this tour comes back and says "its
great, awesome" with big smiles.

Decorated with local Belizean arts and crafts, this 2 bedroom house is the third house of five on the property. The second bedroom can be converted into an office, for your important work, while the rest of the house is for your important living. The office would consist of an executive chair, table,
multi- surge protection receptacles, and ink jet printer. We have excellent signal for phone, texts, and wifi with both providers' antennae in line of sight. One gigabyte of 4glte Wifi is free, included with your stay. Additional wifi is an extra cost of $10BZ ($5US)per gigabyte, at this time.

For the pleasure traveler, the second bedroom could be converted with a single or double bed for up to two more people comfortably. This works well with family overnight stays.

Four intrepid guests could fit this house comfortably. Two or less would feel abundant space. (For a single or couple you could also check out our new studio listed at Faith's Farm, which doesn't have a kitchen area, yet has all the comforts.)
But there is more for you...
Wifi (extra fee), ac, hot water, 5 gallon bottled water dispenser, kitchen area, coffee maker, microwave, cable tv, laundry, and full farm breakfast in the morning.

Guest access

You can start to explore Belize on our 8 acres of property.
There are remains of a Mayan community on the property. Recently I discovered a buried pre-classic B.C. stone turtle altar. The turtle was part of the Mayan creation story, and it is placed between two guest houses.

The hill on our property offers fantastic views, and evening sunsets. This hill has been a mystery to us as it is covered in broken plaster and stucco pieces. It could have been a temple, and the hill seems to hold water. We believe there is a cave entrance that is still hidden from us.

Throughout the property and rooms we have wood carvings by local artist Eduardo Herrera.
He is a true artist that sees the finished sculpture in the piece of tree he has. His creativity inspires me to be more creative in building this tourist village among our family farm.

Food, drinks, smoke, dining on our deck, or relax as the Parrots fly in around five in the evening. There are bird species galore.
How about a bike ride around the village, or further south to the Roaring River, near to the ATM caves. We have two adult bicycles for your use.

From our hilltop you can catch evening sunsets, lookout over mountain ranges, and the Belize River valley. Nature abounds here.

We have a playground area for children, and Faith can drive the kids around in her Fisher Price ATV.

We also have a laundry facility to refresh your travel clothes for further adventures. Follow us at faithsfarmbelize

If you like birds you will be in heaven with the hundreds of varieties here.

Faith’s Farm is an amazing, delightfully secluded place. Mary is an incredible chef and Richard is super helpful! We came for a birthday trip and they did everything to accommodate us and make sure we were comfortable despite some inclement weather. Would absolutely stay again, they went above and beyond. Also, try the fried chicken at the J&J market right up the road if you get the chance!

Richard was so accommodating!! He was easy to communicate with and got back to us quickly. He also picked us up from the airport and was willing to book all our tours for us.He had great suggestions. The room and A/C were great. Try the golf course. The owner is great and no crowds during the week. Only thing to take into consideration is eating. We did not have a car. There is breakfast which is super, but then you need to plan for other meals. Some meals will be included in your tours. But getting dinner needs to be planned out. There is not easy to eat location close by. Host and place is great! We could use local transportation easy from here.

Thank you Richard & Mary for your wonderful hospitality! Thank you for making me feel right at home for those 2 nights. It was so much fun to play & sing with Faith, who is absolutely adorable with her adventurous heart and full-of-joy attitude. I really wished I could have stayed longer and spent more time together with you all. Faith's Farm is right off the main Western Hwy, about 300-yard away from the Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) turn off junction (ATM was an ancient Mayan burial ground 500m deep inside a cave - a precious original must-see if you are into the Mayan history & adventure). Richard is well connected with the locals and helped arranged a wonderful ATM tour for me with the best guides in town. Only 23-ppl passed The test awhile back, and received a license to guide ATM tours, and am Very pleased to have done this with the best. They even pick-up & drop-off right at my door steps. The whole tour took about 6-7 hours included a lunch at the end. Due to Richard's location, I was the last pick-up and first drop-off, which works out really well. Also Mary & Richard were so kind to take my week-long laundry and returned them fresh & soft. The Mennonite-built wood cabins are very nice, clean, and new. Richard hook it up with great plumbing, power, and even US-channel cable TV! All the windows are screened, and you can keep them opened for a nice breeze. There's a strong & quiet A/C unit in the bedroom. I had the A/C on for a humid night and use it in fan mode when it's cooler the next night. I love the sound of sleeping in the nature, and you are surrounded by it. Richard brought me breakfasts, and they helped me with dinner when I arrived after dark on my first night. Mary's cooking is SO Good! There is a 5-gallon bottled water inside the unit, so that saved me the trouble to go get some from the market by the junction. The dogs are tied up during the day, and Richard lets them run around at night alongside with the chickens. Even though I am afraid of dogs, I was not bothered/alarmed by them at all during my stay. They are like great security guards from other wild animals, and it seemed quite common in Belize. There were so much more to do in the area and I couldn't do it all during my short stay. I'd definitely make this place as my base if I get to come again. It's so closed to the capital, Belmopan, where the turn off to Cave Branch (aka. Jaguar Paw Outpost) is. There are many tour dealers/operators to choose from for zip-line & cave tubing. Blue Hole National Park is also near by for those interested in taking a dip in a natural blue pool. The 2 ruins (Xunantunich & Cahal Pech) by the border are only ~30-40km...

What a pleasant surprise Faith's Farm was for me. I was traveling Belize alone as a woman, and wanted to visit off the beaten path places. Teakettle was a halfway point between Hopkins and San Ignacio. Richard actually picked me up in Hopkins and drove me to his place an hour and a half each way. It was the most reasonable rate for transfer that I encountered in Belize. I found Richard to be very pleasant, informative, and accommodating. He has created a life on his property that is integrated with the local community, self sustaining, and serene. His wife and daughter were beautiful and friendly. His parents happened to be staying in another house on the property and we all gathered for "Tea Time" the evening I arrived. This consisted of tortillas and refried beans made with home made coconut oil. Yum!!! The cottage I stayed in was small but comfortable, and fully equipped with coffee and associated kitchen amenities. Hot breakfast was delivered to my door by Richard!! Another delicious Belizean meal. As I had trouble getting cash in Hopkins, Richard took his morning to drive me to two banks in town where I was able to have success. There was a new bike available for me to use checking out the local roads, and as I left it was super easy to catch the local bus to San Ignacio. Overall, a perfect stop that was very close to ATM Cave, with a glimpse into a life created in Teakettle Belize.

'Follow your heart' 'You can make a living or design a life'
I came to Belize from Boston to start a new life by developing land. It took five years before the first house was delivered. Over that time, I picked up knowledge, and experience of this beautifully wild, natural country.
Five more years there are four more houses, chicken coops, and fruit trees. During this time I met Mary and we started a family. Faith was born in 2012 premature, but she survived and thrived.
We work hard, but we enjoy our downtime with music, creative activities, or relaxing with a nice drink.
We also enjoy having guests for conversation and hospitality. We
try to anticipate your needs
as you travel through this beautiful country.
Mary is a fantastic cook, and
we operate a food stall at the annual National Agritculture & Trade Show
If you don't book with us this trip, we'll be here for your next trip to Belize so you could give us a try then.
