Staying here added to my first Osaka experience for sure. This is was my second stay at Oto*nari and it was definitely a pleasant stay again. Takashi and Miyako were highly attentive and helpful. The house is absolutely nice and well-equipped. Of course it is so clean and bright. Great location and neighbourhood as well! If you would like to explore the local area and japanese lifestyle, this place is the one.

We have stayed in many Airbnb’s in Japan over the last six months and this is our favourite. Not downtown - but close to it with easily accessible transit. A few minutes walk to a lovely park with a pond, grocery store, restaurants, bakery, and conbini. Communication with hosts is great, and they have even taken us out to enjoy the local izakaya and live music shows. Lots of space for two - and love the fully equipped kitchen. The kitties next door are cute too! We’ve already booked to come back for another stay. :)

A nice cozy stay with all the amenities needed for business, vacation, or just a retreat. Close to tram, city bus, and a short jaunt to train or subway transportation isn't a problem. Proximity to beautiful Mandai Pond, post office, a 7-11 (for international ATM withdrawals) and Life shopping mart made for a wonderful stay. Neighborhood is quiet and the house would work well for a couple as well as a child. Owners are very helpful and child-friendly and willing to help as little or as much as you need with questions. I will definitely be back.

Otonari is a comfortable little house in a quiet and authentic neighborhood. It has a true japanese touch, yet it is also very traveler-friendly. The hosts even took time to take dinner with us at a cosy and delicious little restaurant just around the corner. My brother was staying more in the center and when he visited us at Otonari he just said: "That's the Jackpot!"

Otonari is perfect place to stay if you wanna explore more local side of Osaka. Our host Takashi & Miyako were amazing. They took us for locals dinner in Tennoji. It was one of the best experience my sister and I had. There is also amazing Izakaya only 2mins walk from their house offers best Kansai sake collection and owner is super friendly so as other customers. House was cosy and comfort. I got sick on second day arrived but I was able to use tiny hottub in their bathroom cured me easy. Also Miyako was so considerate to rent me out humidifier. I'm super thankful that I stayed at their wonderful house ;) I will definitely making my next trip there again!!

(EN)We were wonderfully welcomed by the hosts and hugely surprised by the quality of the place. Very nice house with 2 floors, well equipped, with balcony and plenty of space. Original decoration, we can see that the hosts are both artists. The hosts are very nice and do not hesitate to help us when we have questions. They made us discover japanese traditions and explained us many things about japan. A big plus is that they also speak english. We stayed 2 months during our WHV and the value for money is really excellent. If you are visiting Osaka and are looking for accommodation we strongly recommend this home.
