Arriving at The Oakwood Inn I knew I had made the right choice. This was my first Airbnb stay and it was a great one. Lorie was a very gracious host and made me feel at home, having French press coffee ready for me in the morning! It was so much more comfortable than staying at a hotel and I felt relaxed. Her dog Sallie is the cutest and super friendly. The house was clean and cool, and the location was beautiful. Surrounded by trees and the lake, what more could one ask for? I would recommend staying at the Oakwood Inn for anyone looking for a place in Spring Lake or Grand Haven.

We met our daughter and son here for a weekend of catching up and relaxing. Lori is very gracious and the accommodations fit our needs perfectly. What a treasure tucked away on the sunset coast of Michigan.

Our stay at Lorie's place was wonderful! She was a great host and we loved neighborhood that the house was in. Such a charming, clean and peaceful place to stay! My kids loved playing with Sally (Lorie's dog) so much too!

Myself and two of my very dear friends stayed at the home for two nights while visiting Michigan. Lorie was a wonderful host and both her and her daughter gave us a great list of things to do to keep us busy. It was a beautiful home and worked perfectly for us.

Loved everything about Lorie's place! The house is beautiful with all the amenities one may need for a weekend getaway. The highlight of the experience was Lorie and her lovely pet, Sallie. They made us feel at home especially with freshly brewed coffee in the morning all the way from Cuba! The outdoor space is very nice as well as the porch. We also had a great time exploring Grand Haven and Spring Lake and Lorie made sure we know of all the great restaurants and hot spots. We went to a beach, on a sailing boat cruise and did some cycling to Holland. We would definitely come back! Thank you, Lorie & Sallie :)

This was our first time using airbnb, so we did not know if we would feel comfortable staying in a stranger's home. Lorie provided a beautiful place for us to stay, and the perfect amount of attention. If she was not home, she made us aware of when she would be returning, and she was very in tune to taking a cue from us as to how much socializing we could do. Lorie left notes to communicate or to give a suggestion for a local restaurant (make sure to get the cherry white chocolate scones at Village Baker). By the time our short stay was over, it oddly felt like home when we would pull up to the house. Not only was the neighborhood and Spring Lake absolutely beautiful, but just as important, our hostess was and a special gem! I wouldn't think twice about staying here again should come back to the area!
