The oldest part of this charming adobe home dates to the late 1890s. Enjoy a comfortable queen-size bed, heated floors, and a cheery sunroom. Leave your car in the off-street parking area and walk to the Plaza, Railyard, or Whole Foods in less than 15 minutes. Sage Bakehouse, Ohori's Coffee, and Restaurant Martin are right around the corner.

The space

This adobe casita is part of a two house compound. It was built in stages beginning around 1898. Its walls are nearly 20 inches thick in places. Many of the original architectural elements have been preserved, including the viga ceilings, nichos, and 1920s era kitchen cabinets. The house stays cool in the summer and, thanks to radiant heat in the floors, warm in the cooler months.

Guest access

You'll have full access to the bedroom/sitting room, the kitchen/dining area, the sunroom, and the bathroom. There is space for two cars; please park on the right side of the parking area.

Interaction with guests

Our manager takes care of our house. Contact her if you need anything. She is a historian who has lived in Santa Fe for over thirty years, and she gives tours of the city.

Perfect location in the very HEART of Santa Fe: equidistant from Whole Foods and the famous Plaza on the north-south axis, and right between the Railyard Arts District (including its wonderful farmers market) to the west and Canyon Road to the east (these are the gallery centers of Santa Fe). None of these marvelous attractions (and the Whole Foods is the largest I have ever seen!) is more than a 10-minute walk. The casita is impeccably maintained and simply but beautifully decorated in traditional Santa Fe style – very comfortable and cozy, and easily large enough to invite friends over to dinner around the capacious kitchen table. While I was there (October, 2017) the apple tree right at the front door was bearing (and dropping!) dozens of delicious apples. Whether you eat them or not, it is lovely to see an apple tree in full fruit every time you walk outside. Parking is easy and convenient, and for joggers, almost any direction makes for an invigorating and beautiful early morning run (I especially recommend Paseo De Peralta to Marcy Hill, where you can watch the sunrise – or sunset). Judi responded immediately (and solved the problem) when the wifi disappeared briefly, I would recommend this little house to anyone looking to have a real Santa Fe experience.

had a great time. The space is charming, and it's in a great location. It's a lovely walk up to the "downtown subscription", a great coffee shop on Garcia Street. it's fun to meander up in those neighborhoods, and check out the old adobe houses. if you're a cook… A great variety of spices to cook with

Charles and Judi gave a good description of the property and were most helpful with the information they provided for Santa Fe. The Casita is attractively decorated and very clean and met our needs very well. It's near a busy road so this needs to be considered if you don't like traffic noise. It's a convenient easy 15 minute walk downtown .We enjoyed our stay very much and loved the whole experience of Santa Fe..

Location, location, location. This place was perfectly situated a short walk from the plaza area and the railyard/farmer's market area. Beautiful little casita, comfortable for 2 people. Had everything we needed to make a 3 night stay very comfortable.

A great place to stay in Santa Fe. Walking distanced to practically everywhere. The casita is well-stocked, immaculate and larger than it appears in any of the pictures.
