Not quite luxury living, but it was fine for a mountain cabin @ $120 / night. Only complaint was the well water had a little sulfur smell. Cool place

A coffee pot and drinking water would have been nice. Also, specific directions on how to get there.

Experience was lousy. Place is dated but otherwise fine save for the fact that certain basic amenities such as a coffee maker and toaster are absent. Also, there were not additional blankets and it was cold. Communication with host was lousy. Although my reservation was confirmed which requires host approval, my host claimed to not know I was coming. House had not been cleaned from last guests. When I explained, and later asked for refund of one night, never heard from host again. Great location and could be a nice place, but lack of customer service and responsiveness on host's part made it such that I could not recommend this place to someone else.

We loved this cabin and the location. We were looking for a relaxed get away in the woods and this was great. There is plenty of room - its about 1000 sq ft and with the loft seems even larger. Would be a great place for a family to stay. We loved the outdoor decks and ate dinner out there most nights. The loft is really cool and adds to the ambiance plus was a fun place to read or hangout. There is also another deck there as well. We hiked the trail which was near by and walked around the neighborhood - the neighbors were very friendly. It is about 30 min from Durango and 20-25 min from Vallecito. Our only issue was with the well water. It rained pretty hard a couple of days while we were there. As a result, it seemed to short-out the well mechanism and we were barely getting any water for several days. When staying here it is best to take your own drinking water....the hosts kindly left us 2 gal. which we really appreciated. We avg about 1 gal plus per day so you will want to plan accordingly....if you are a coffee drinker you will want to take a travel coffee maker...I found a cool one in town that you put on your coffee cup.
