I am a retired engineer with a love of cooking. My wife was a teacher and then for fun a flight attendant, she really traveled all over the us and other places. She is an avid gardener and we have several gardens to prove this. We really love meeting people from different parts of the world. We have been to France, Austria, Germany, Japan, Mexico ,the virgin islands and the Bahamas, We plan on retiring to Florida or Tennessee. We'll see what is decided. In the meantime we would like to share our wonderful home with others. We have 5 acres with a lot of wildlife. Horses living on both sides of us. We have a service airedale who acts like a person, she is so very smart it just amazes us. We both like to read and during long drives we take turns on long trips. We just purchased an RV last year and have already traveled to 6 states so far. We love entertaining and have had several pig roasts on our property and entertained over 100 people at a time.
We have enough room for 4 Adults in 1,000 square feet,1 king bed and 2 couches that open for sleeping .We also have a baby crib mattress available for your infant. A separate rental bedroom is available to you when you have 6 people in your party and it is an extra charge of $50.00
We have several outdoor games including badminton, horse shoes, ladder toss and others. We have enough clear average that you can have a ball game. Come and stay at our home here in the country, perhaps you will see deer who visit frequently, or maybe a turkey will walk by.
We love coffee and croissants. We will serve you a hot breakfast on your 1st morning and supply you with your favorites for the other mornings. What do you like for breakfast?
George likes to watch programs with real people digging for gold or living in Alaska bush. We had a real gold digger stay with us earlier this year, he was very interesting. We would love to hear about you and your favorite things. Where have you visited and who have you met? We can't wait to hear all about it.
The 5 things we can't live without #1 each other. #2 our children and grandchildren. #3 our Service dog Abby the airedale. #4 electronics ( TV. Cable,I phones, I pads, Macbook air #5 our corvettes a 1978 pace car & a 1998 pace car.
Our favorite travel destination is probably Austria.
We like authors Clancy, Lee Childs Evanovich,Grisham, Patterson, Fern Michaels, and many more, but these are our favorites
We like classical music and country too. We listen to 40's,50"s music and old radio programs like the shadow. During long trips we sometimes lister to talking books, they seem to make the trip seem shorter. Come on, visit us here in Michigan, you will not be sorry. We even share a glass of wine or a beer with our guests.
When staying at an airbnb or a hotel the first thing I look for is a glass of wine to kick back and relax before bed. What is your favorite thing to do when settling in your room for the evening?
We have 5 daughters, 13 grandchildren and 2 and 1/2 great grandchildren. We don't think that is the final count, our grandkids are just getting started in life adventures. Yes, its going to be like staying at Grandma's or Nana's house, we will treat you like family!
