• YOUR CARD WILL BE CHARGED AUTOMATICALLY FOR ANY DAMAGES MADE ON PROPERTY FOR THE COST OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.

• If you lose the keys there will be a $25 charge and you may need to wait until I, or a neighbor, is available to get you back into the home.

• NEVER bring extra people to my home. New friends, old friends -- if they are not a part of the reservation that has been discussed and approved, they are not allowed inside.

• Please respect my neighbors and be considerate while out and around the condo complex. This includes time spend at the pool and hot tub. My complex is private and quiet and I don't want any complaints about guests.

• NO DRUGS OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES.

• REMOVE SHOES upon entering the front door if you are going to walk upstairs (i.e. no shoes on the upstairs carpet, please).

• Please clean up after yourself, if you spill something or make a mess, please clean it up or let me know about it. I do not require that you deep clean before leaving, but I do ask that you pick up after yourself and leave the room looking as it was when you arrived.

I absolutely love staying at Rachel's place when I come to San Diego. The location could not be better- walking distance to many restaurants and the trolley, and a short, inexpensive Uber ride to anywhere else you want to go (about $5 to anywhere downtown). You get the benefit of being in a neighborhood so you feel like a local, but with all the amenities a traveler wants and needs. The room is quiet and clean and having your own bathroom is awesome- you don't get your own private bathroom in many other places. I highly recommend Rachel's home for your visit to San Diego.

This has to be the best place I've stayed so far on Airbnb. Room was as described and having own private bathroom was a big plus!! Parking was very easy to find and place is only $5 Uber ride away from popular spots. Rachel was very accommodating and friendly. She provided recommendations to eat and drink. We were able to use her kitchen and treated us as we were guests in her home. We didn't get a chance to try out the pool or hot tub but it is available. Will definitely stay here again when in town.

This was probably one of my best experiences with Airbnb. Rachel's place is in a great location - we never spent more than 20 minutes driving anywhere. Parking is not a problem, and there is also the trolley close by that will take you downtown. Her place was clean, bright and with the windows open had a constant fresh breeze. Comfortable bed and having a private bathroom was awesome. Rachel is a fantastic host - easy going, accommodating, great conversation, and even made sure that fresh coffee was ready each morning. I definitely recommend!

Staying with Rachel was such a delight for us. She was incredibly generous and her place was such a calm and peaceful retreat from the wackiness of Comic-Con. Highlights included the beautiful (and very walkable) neighborhood with so many great restaurants of different stripes (Mexican, Thai, English Pub!) all a 5-minute walk from the place. Rachel's complex features both a swimming pool and a hot tub. She was nice enough to offer some pool rafts for relaxing on the water. When we arrived, she took us through everything we needed to know (keys, AC, kitchen stuff) and was great at communicating throughout our stay, even when she was out. Our only regret after our stay is that we didn't get a chance to stay longer (and spend more time with our awesome host).

Thanks Skyler! Meeting people like you and J.J. are one of the main reasons I started hosting. :) Please come back for a visit any time!!

I highly recommend Rachel's home. She wasn't able to be there when I arrived, but sent very detailed instructions (with pictures) so checking in was a breeze. Having my own bathroom was a major plus. The window provided a nice cool breeze (there was a fan as well but I really didn't need it) and the bed was super comfy. There was a pillow top that made it soft, which I like, but if you like it firmer it is easy to remove so that's another plus. The location is great- I found a new favorite coffee/tea shop just a block and a half away next to the international restaurant row. Definitely no need for a car for these places. The trolley is close by ($5 to ride the whole day and takes you either downtown in just a minute or two or out to the mall, etc. in five minutes). Also, Uber is super cheap and I never had to wait more than a minute or two for a ride. I had just as nice an experience at Rachel's as I would have had at a hotel, for way less than half the price- and a better location. It was my first Airbnb experience and I was a little hesitant and anxious, but Rachel made me feel right at home.

We had a wonderful time in San Diego and Rachel was the perfect host! We arrived a little later than expected and she was very flexible with our arrival and very easy to communicate with before we arrived. Her place is extremely homey, calm, and quiet, and we enjoyed both the privacy she left us and her willingness to give directions and recommendations for places to eat/drink in SD. We also really appreciated her sharing her delicious NM coffee, which was unexpected but helped us wake up a bit! Wouldn't change anything about the place and experience overall! The bed was very comfy despite it being a futon with extra padding. My bf noted it was a little softer than he'd usually prefer, but we slept well nonetheless! Also the location is fairly central. We went to Little Italy (at night) and Liberty Station (during the day) on foot, and both were easy to get to. The streets are not super well lit at night but we still felt safe overall. Thanks Rachel!!

Response from Rachel:
Thank you, Tasha. It was a pleasure hosting both of you! I do wish you had mentioned something regarding the softness of the bed while you were here, as we could have easily remedied that. I'll be certain to do it in advance, should you choose to come down for a visit again in the future. ;)

My motto is "More Light, Less Tunnel"...and I try to apply that to every aspect of my life! I am a traveler, writer, lawyer (yes, mostly in that order, if I can help it) I love meeting new and interesting people - in fact, that's why I've decided to also become an Airbnb host.

When I'm not traveling myself, I love really LIVING in my home town of San Diego. As a host, I love to share everything I've discovered--the hidden gems as well as the 'latest and greatest' places that have emerged in all of our diverse neighborhoods. I can best describe myself as a "fit foodie adventurer", as I love surfing, sailing, getting out and being active, as well as taking in everything City life has to offer.

Looking forward to meeting and getting to know you in return!
