Safe and quiet neighbourhood yet super convenient to everything!
Vancouver has been consecutively rated as one of the most livable & beautiful cities in the world for more than a decade. Ever since we hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics, Vancouver has been continuously attracting more and more travelers from all over the world to explore and fall in love with our beautiful city. If you are a sports fan, you can watch our exciting professional sports teams in the MLS, NHL, WHL etc.. If you are more interested in participating in sports yourself, there is nothing here that you can’t do. Skiing, snowboarding, hiking, boating, sailing, wind surfing, kayaking, white water rafting, cycling and so much more…you name it, we got it! If you are a music fan, Vancouver hosts the annual Vancouver Jazz Festival in June, Folk Festival in July, and the Burnaby Blues Festival in August. Add to that numerous arts and music festival throughout the lower mainland. If you love to eat, Vancouver is a food-lovers paradise, offering a wide variety of tastes from around the world. If you are into partying, we have a night club district with a concentration of venues (pubs, clubs and eateries). If you are a nature lover, Vancouver is the BEST! Three major ski mountains only minutes away from the city: Mount Seymour, Cypress, Grouse Mountain, and a bit further away is Whistler, voted number one ski resort in North America many years in a row; two world famous suspension bridges in our North Vancouver rainforests: Capilano and Lynn Valley; and countless beaches, rivers and lakes.
Our house is located on the Vancouver-Burnaby border, just west of the Metropolis at Metrotown shopping mall. If you love shopping, this is the perfect location for you to stay! It will take you about 20 minutes to walk or 5 minutes to drive to the mall. Metropolis at Metrotown is the largest shopping complex in the entire Greater Vancouver area. It facilitates around 470 shops, a large food court and the Cineplex movie theater. Shop till you drop!
Take a short walk to the beautiful Central Park. Central Park's primary attraction is the large proportion of its land reserved as a well-preserved temperate rainforest ecosystem, with numerous walking trails. Among its other attractions are the award-winning children's playground, pitch and putt golf, an outdoor swimming facility, a lawn bowling facility, several picnic areas, tennis courts, and a couple of small duck ponds. Wildlife in the park includes grey squirrels and coyotes. Korean War Memorial is located in the west side of the park, close to Boundary road. Swangard Stadium, another Burnaby landmark and a former home for the Vancouver Whitecaps soccer team, is located at the northwest corner of Central Park.
To get to Downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park, you just simply hop on the bus outside the house; it takes about 3 minutes bus ride to Joyce Skytrain Station and further 15 minutes on the train to Downtown.
