The entire top floor of a single family home, which has a large open space, table and chairs, queen size bed that is sectioned off from the room with a screen, and a full bathroom. The space includes a coffee maker, mini-fridge, microwave, cable television, and WiFi.
The bathroom includes all essentials you may need during your stay, such as towels, shampoo, razors, shower caps, and blow dryer.
A sliding glass door leads out to the private deck overlooking the backyard and golf course, and besides watching the golfers, you may see a few deer as well! (Based on feedback from prior guests, we have installed curtains over the glass door to block the morning sun.)
The top floor space is accessed by using a spiral staircase right next to the front door to the house. Guests also have access to the kitchen and laundry room on the first floor, and parking in the driveway. We provide space in the refrigerator for food and drinks, use of all kitchen appliances, and a set of plates, glasses and utensils for use during your stay.
Interaction with guests
My mom, Lynn, is at the house during guest reservations. After checking in, her availability is entirely up to the guest. She is extremely hospitable and will answer any questions, make recommendations, and strive to meet your every need. At the same time, we understand that some guests want privacy. Thus, the extent of guest interaction with the host is based on the guest's preference.
Other things to note
Bikes and beach chairs are available for free. The island is great for biking and contains several bike paths. Golf cart is available to rent for a fee (the same prices as Fripp): $75/day; $150/3 days; $275/week.
Please inquire at booking if you would like amenity cards; we will supply cards on a first-come, first-serve basis. We have a limited supply of cards for the year, thus request that guests consider carefully whether they will require the cards. Once the cards run out, we will revise this message to say that cards are not available. Cards are $35 for each person for 1-4 day cards; $50 per person for 5-7 day cards. The cards give access to the island's restaurants, golf courses, pools, tennis courts, and rental of items such as kayaks or golf carts (which require additional fees as well). Typically we must order cards a week in advance. Depending on your interests, an amenity card may not be necessary. An amenity card is NOT required to access the beach, bike paths, convenience store/deli, and clothing shops. In addition, there are good restaurants just 5-10 minutes off the island.
We have been told by guests that staying at our place saved hundreds of dollars compared to staying at a resort condo. Please consider Airbnb for your trip to Fripp!
