We only had one night in Carcassone, but our stay here was just right for that time. Apartment is well located, everything was walkable. The space is a good size and clean. The door to enter was a bit tricky, and the stair going up are quite narrow. Other than that it was a lovely stay!
Jean's property is great. Location was perfect and the stocked kitchen was much appreciated break from the restaurants. The apartment was spotless and comfortable. Little difficulties entering the apartment block but worked that issue out quickly. Jean was quick to respond and his neighbor came over to assist. Really enjoyed our stay in Carcassonne and at Jeans's apartment.
Jean was really quick responding our queries and offered to store our luggage inside the apartment for a couple of hours after check out. The location of the apartment is perfect. The main square is just a couple of blocks away, there is a really nice patisserie down the corner and the medieval city is just a few minutes away walking. Something to consider is that the bedroom is located in Ground Floor with the window facing the street, so it was not as private and quiet as we would have wanted but it does has window shutters that helped.
Lovely place very central, great restaurant recommendations (Le bistro D'Alice & Le Passage) and good communication. Please be WARNED there is a Market at the pay and display carpark (which is very close and convenience up the steps at the end of the street) on a Saturday, not sure if it is every Saturday but your car will get towed away and you will have to pay about €152 to get it back, we were sadly caught out by this.
