We stayed in the big flat of feriale 1. It was clean and the house is very sweet decorated. It was very comfortable that there is a shower near the pool and a toilet, so you don't have to walk all the way upstairs. Every room has a ventilator, which was quite nice because of the heat. The kitchen has everything you need. Supermarkets are a 15' drive away.

There is no place more beautiful than the Tuscan countryside, and Petrolo showcases it. The location is perfect to experience the peaceful Tuscan landscape, the vineyards, and small villages that dot the countryside. The Feriale I house is roomy - we had nine adults and 4 children - and the kitchen served as our hub. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms have everything you need. It is rustic (so don't expect anything beyond the basics) but therein lies all the charm. Close to the town of Bucine for groceries, bakery, cappucinos, Wed market. Wonderful restaurants throughout the area. Close to hilltop wine towns, as well as Siena, Arrezzo and Firenza. Marco was very accommodating, recommending places to visit and restaurants, and arranged a wonderful cooking lesson in our kitchen with Graciela and Laura. What a highlight. It was very hot when we were there - low 40s - so the pool was essential for an afternoon cool-down. Needed to have fans in all rooms. Enjoyed hiking to the tower. Absolutely lovely property!

Hello, I'm Marco, I manage the holiday houses of the Petrolo Winery. We are a nice bunch of people working all year round on our vineyards, olive trees and properties.
I love this place! It dominates with beautiful views the Valdarno valley, in the south-eastern side of the Chianti hills, an area full of charm and history.

We're between Florence, Siena and Arezzo, an ideal base for discovering Tuscan renowned history, art, food and our precious wine or just relax soaking-in the natural comfort of our countryside, maybe diving in our swimming pools or getting to the near Thermal Baths.

Landmark of the estate is the medieval watchtower of Galatrona while precious renaissance works by Giovanni Della Robbia can be found in the old Parish Church of Galatrona, facing Villa Petrolo. Petrolo owns fine holiday villas set among the green olive groves, active vineyards and beautiful oak woods of the estate. Petrolo is a winery dedicated to the production of Award-Winning Wines and Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

And by the way we have a lovely XVIII century rural gentry Villa ideal for events and celebrations or even for big family reunions,
