Beautiful and newly renovated apartment in the heart of Copenhagen, close to Nyhavn and Copenhagen harbor. Sliding doors and ship inspired floors with a very unique ambiance.

The space

Beautiful and newly renovated apartment in the heart of Copenhagen, close to Nyhavn and Copenhagen harbor. The apartment is freshly painted and generally in very good condition. Sliding doors and ship inspired floors, together with the rosewood furniture creates a cozy harbor atmosphere in this traditional Danish apartment. Built in the late 1800-hundreds, the place has modern features but a classic style, such as crown molding, beautifully rounded windows, wood panels etc. This all adds to a nice ambience that newer buildings simply can't compete with.
The apartment layout includes a master bedroom with full comfy bed, second smaller room with a great blow-up mattress for two, and living room that opens up to the kitchen.

Just A Few Quick ‘Rules’ About the Apartment:

•This is a no shoe zone! ☺ We kindly ask that you remove your shoes when entering the apartment and leave them in the entryway. Thanks!
•It is summer and it is ‘hot’ here in Copenhagen but we ask that you please close all windows, making sure they are locked, when leaving the apartment. Since we are located on the ground floor we would prefer to be safe than sorry! For when you are home, we recommend just opening the small upper windows in the front of the apartment while the living room and kitchen are better for using the lower, bigger windows. Actually don’t open the lower big ones in the master-bedroom as one of them can be hard to close again.
•We love our apartment and we kindly ask that during your time here you love it too! Please respect the furniture, appliances etc. We really appreciate it! ☺
•We also ask that you are considerate of our neighbors with regards to loud noises etc.
•Smoking is not allowed in the apartment.
•No loud music after 10 PM.

Johan's place is incredibly special - impeccably decorated and amazing location - near Nyhavn - you really can walk everywhere. Super comfortable bed in the main bedroom and all the facilities you need for home away from home.

Johan was very flexibel whit our incheck time. Appartment was nice and very central. The toilet broke down during our stay, bit IT was nobodys fault.

Johan's place is located in a central location. Everything seems very accessible. It is just a few steps from the iconic Nyhavn river and 5 minutes walk to the metro station as well as to the shopping street. The Standard, consisting of 3 fine dining restaurants, is also just few minutes walk away. There is also a convenience store right across the street. In short, its location is just perfect! His apartment is well-equipped with essentials. However, we thought that the bed and pillows are not very comfortable as the pillows hardly had any cushions. The bathroom is a tad too small, even for a petite girl like me. Nevertheless, these shortcomings are made up for by the cosy living room with 52 inch flat screen tv with multiple cable channels installed and the fully functional and inviting kitchen equipped with electronic stove and baking oven. All in all, we enjoyed our stay with Johan! :)

Johan's place is exactly as described.. and the best part is there are plenty more surprises that were not in the description! The unit is next to a beautiful quay, and it's really really near to major Copenhagen's attraction like Nyhavn, Stroget and Tivoli. Well, you know, sometimes you can't just trust the "walking distance" advertised in some descriptions, but definitely not this one. Travelling with small kids, I'm not fond of walking, but Johan's place is so conveniently located I explored the town every day mostly by walking. There's a bicycle rent shop 1 min walk from the unit, reasonably priced, we hire one for our last day, and glad we did it. A grocery store also 1 min walk away, train station and a big mall 5 mins walk away. As for Johan himself, he's a very very great host. He was there to greet us, and give a quick tour of the unit. And he left a nicely printed booklet on how to use the equipment in the house, as some of buttons/panels were not in English. But what really great is how he treated us beyond what he has to. My son was not feeling well one day and I texted him for location of the nearest clinic, he gave his personal doctor's number for us to contact and from time to time checked whether we are doing fine or not. Thank you Johan for providing a great Airbnb experience!

Johan was an excellent host. Our flight came in late and we were delayed in arriving, but he was very understanding. Very flexible with check in/out times. Great apartment - clean and tidy with some cool design features! Good for central location access around the city. Would most definitely recommend for others to stay.

Lovely flat in a perfect location to explore the city. All the main sights are within walking distance. As you would expect from Copenhagen, Johan's place is full of lovely design touches. We came away coveting his Mid-Century drinks cabinet and care-worn dining table. Communication with Johan before and during the stay was excellent and friendly. The street itself is handsome and quiet during the day, with the canal at it's head. The only slight downside was the noise from the bar across the street. Being on the ground floor we didn't escape the sound of the revelry in the wee small hours. Our eight month old daughter, however, wasn't bothered in the slightest. So, with that wee caveat, we would recommend Johan's place.

I like to travel, and hope to see much more of that in the future. Hopefully I can get to know some friendly airbnb'ers who can tell me where to go next.
I see myself as being an empathetic open minded person, who loves to make new acquaintances wherever i go.
I'm a huge music-fan - I play guitar as much as possible and i like listening to a bunch of different styles to get inspired.
I hope to be your new Copenhagen Airbnb host :).
