Tumbleweed Manor is a great base for canyons and hiking. The surrounding area has the highest density of slot canyons in the world and is close to Capitol Reef, Goblin Valley, the San Rafael Swell, and Lake Powell.

I have set up the house especially for groups, with a spacious deck, lots of room to hang out, games, and a great selection of maps and guidebooks. I'm keen to recommend trips, ranging from easy hikes with the family to full on canyoneering adventures with ropes.

This is a great, comfortable, quiet landing place after a day of exploring the many interesting sites in the area. It’s easy to find, and it has just about everything you could think of, and plenty of it. The cabinets and drawers are labeled to help you find it all too. There are…

This is a great place to stay in Hanksville. The house was really clean, it had everything we needed to make meals, plenty of space for our family of seven, really comfortable beds and linens--a great experience. The little market in town probably has whatever you forgot to bring…
