A wonderfully warm and cosy Cottage with a fantastic host in Shelley. Knowledgeable and informative about the local area we could not have asked for a better stay. Her breakfasts are, rightly, legendary. Peace and quiet and comfort best describe it. Anyone who needs to recharge their batteries could not do better.

We had a nice stay with Shelley and Brett, they were easy to communicate with and good hosts. The house is very quaint with its thatched roof, staircase and sit down shower bath. Excellent breakfasts cooked by Shelley were also great addition to the stay.

This is a gem of a place for anybody keen to explore the Dorset countryside and stay in a traditional thatched cottage. Shelley was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating, and also very knowledgeable about the local area and countryside lore. She makes lovely home-cooked breakfasts and also offers well-priced hawk experiences where you can learn more about falconry with her Harris hawks. Great value for money and a really interesting stay in a place that is definitely not run of the mill.

Charming period cottage, remarkable peace and quiet, hospitable and friendly hosts, very good location, perfect for venturing to many local attractions ( you are right in the middle of all things!) - we visited Bath, Salisbury, Kemmeridge and National Trust sites, lovely time had by all, the children loved our memorable trip to Dorset. A different world.

Truely amazing cottage in a little quiet village with an awasome host and even better breakfast. Shelley immediately made as feel welcome and at home. Shelly went out of het way to cater breakfast for us and we had lovely conversations with both Shelly and Brett. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Als the sunroom with tv is a nice bonus. We deffenately recommend Shalleys place for a stay.

I'm a country girl, forager, and meditation teacher. I am also a falconer and keen cook. Love the ocean, countryside walks and generally mucking about in my garden.
