I am a Norwegian photographer, based in Bergen, Norway. I am interested in art, music, history, hiking and traveling. As a Bergenser of many years I have a lot of favourite places, cafes and shops, which I'll be happy to share with you.
Originally from the north of Norway, I still frequently travel up to the area above the arctic circle for work, hiking and seeing friends and family. The midnight sun and the darkness in the winter is quite special, and I'd be happy to share traveling tips, if you plan to go further north in Norway.
In my profession as a visual artist I have travelled quite a lot, mostly for work and exhibitions. I've lived and spent longer periods for work in Paris, Berlin and New York. I love the noise, hustle and bustle, and endless culture offers in these cities, but I also love coming home, especially to enjoy the closeness to nature and the sea which is quite unique for Bergen.
Bergen has a lot to offer both with its close proximity to nature, and culturally. It is a good place to be a visual artist. Here is a big artist community, with good art spaces and studios to work in, and there are always things happening on the art and music scene.
As your Airbnb host, and your next door neighbour, I'll give you your privacy, but will also gladly share my favourite places i Bergen, and what I would recommend you to see and do while you are here.
I am new at Airbnb, and haven't stayed as a guest yet, but I really like the way it works. I like meeting new people and sharing stories and travel experiences.
Travel experiences that for me really stand out has been visiting Tokyo, and the Rocky Mountains in Canada. In different ways these places have made deep impressions, and I dream of going back.
