Really nice apartment in a relatively central location. It is a 2-3 km walk down to the main street and the San Francisco Church, but it takes you 30-40 minutes walking. Walking back UP to the flat is super hard, given the altitude of La Paz. Also, the apartment is located in a high part of La Paz, so if you suffer from serious altitude sickness, I would look for a place further south, even in Zona Sur, which is a wealthy residential area a bit far from the "center" Other than altitude sickness, the apartment and the room were perfect. The hosts let me use the kitchen and even brought me a heater to the room in case the nights got cold (they didn't, and I was in La Paz in July, the dead of the Bolivian winter.) Highly recommend, just watch out for altitude problems / walking up and down hills (all of La Paz is very vertical...)

Javi and Roberto were thoughtful, generous, and always willing to answer questions. We stayed in a private room in their apartment and had access to all the facilities. They even let us use their heater! Strangely, we only had hot shower on our first day, and the rest was cool water. On our final night we were asked to pay extra since we used the laundry machine more than once during our 4 nights stay, even though this wasn't a part of the rules and regulations agreed upon arrival. It would be best for all parties if things are clarified instead of assumed. Some practical information: the apartment is a 3 mins walk from the bus stop, and the bus takes 10 mins to get to San Francisco.
