My place is close to the gorgeous Port Phillip bay, Tennyson Street cafe's, Elwood's cafe strip, Ripponlea's cafe strip and train station, #67 tram, Balaclava, St Kilda... the list goes on! You’ll love my place because of the light, the location, the kitchen, and my company. ;D
My place is good for solo adventurers and business travellers.

The space

It's a cute 50's blonde brick apartment with respectful neighbours. The decor is mainly vintage with a well-equiped kitchen. The place has everything you need so just bring your clothes!

Guest access

One bedroom with single bed (very comfortable King single) and common areas are for guest access.

Interaction with guests

I typically work 4-5 days per week so am not home much during the day. I love a chat over a glass or two of wine. I'm vegetarian and happy to share veg meals.

I highly recommend this splendid spot in leafy Elwood. I ticked all the options listed under 'location description' and 'neighbourhood description' because the Elwood/St. Kilda area really is all of those things - residential and scenic, lively and quiet etc. And I lived around there for many years so I know a bit about it! Sandra's home is very clean, warm, beautifully furnished in a relaxed and uncluttered style, comfortable and peaceful. I snoozed happily in the fine single bed, used the spotless bathroom, fridge & stove and enjoyed several pleasant chats and a meal with Sandra (and her boyfriend who was visiting at the time and who cooked a delicious vegetarian meal which I was invited to share). Sandra (& friend) were very friendly and helpful, always welcoming but also respectful of my space. I happened to be working in the area, but this is really a superb location for any traveller, very close to train, tram and bus (the 246 bus runs all the way to Clifton hill and can be an easy way to connect to the North side of town). Lively Acland Street in St. Kilda with its bars and cafes is just a leisurely stroll away, as is the sea! I very much look forward to my next stay at Sandra's place. Oh, and she has great taste in music too ~

This place is great for the solo traveler in need of a place to stay at for a few nights. Sandra is a great and accommodating host! It's also not far away from the tram, which will get you into the city within 20-30 mins.

Generally good. Sandra is kind and helpful. Close place to easily go into the CBD. Very clean and tidy room and kitchen, bathroom. The key to get in the house had some issue and needs a few wiggling and a bit of a trick to open, or just was I unlucky?

Response from Sandra:
Hi Jiro, I think you just couldn't figure out the lock. As I explained to you I've had 6 other people use the same key independently and have never had the issue you had. One of my friends was letting herself in and out with the same key whilst I was overseas and she just couldn't understand why you had so much trouble.

I'm a 39 year old Early Childhood Educator with a lust for travel! I love exploring and feeling my way through new experiences in lively places! Discovering people, food and different cultures makes up a huge part of my leisure time! I love chatting to people, finding out about them and their experiences and sharing mine. But no matter where I go, I love coming back home to this pocket of the world - it's my favourite!
I've lived in Melbourne for most of my life, and have travelled extensively.
I love a central, convenient and clean place to stay when abroad and this is what I have to offer. It's a two bedroom apartment with lively restaurants and cafes nearby as well as parks, gardens and the beautiful Port Phillip bay, to showcase true Bayside living in the world's most liveable city, glorious Melbourne!
Look forward to meeting you!
