Usasan was very nice, he was there on time to welcome us when we arrived and he always answered to our questions. The appartment is well situed because you can go in less than 5 minutes to the bus stop that goed into the center of Kyoto, also arround the appartment there is everything you need : supermarkets, restaurants, also there is the river Kamo (Kamo-gawa) very close, we also found a bamboo forest not very far, the quarter is very quiet. i would say that the size of the appartment can be ok for 2 persons but more than 2 would be a little hard.

Usasan reply to my inquires in a timely manner and is very accommodating with my requests of the room. Room is small, but clean and has everything needed for daily living. Location is a bit far from city center; 45 minutes bus ride to Kyoto station. Safe, quiet neighborhood.

I like cycling and riding motorbike. I had traveled not only in Kyoto, Osaka and Lake Biwa but also had gone to the Sea of Japan and the mountains of Shinshu by bicycle.

When I was a university student, I traveled to various parts of the world, Europe, North America, India, Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia,Singapore,China,Taiwan and so on. while traveling, I stayed at youth hostels, guest houses and inexpensive hotels etc.

I have good memories to have stayed at the student residence of university in Paris, in Vienna and in Chicago etc, flats and share houses in London, and ordinary private houses in Budapest.

My apartment don't have good service as five star hotels, however I definitely feel more comfortable than any rooms at youth hostels and student dormitories.

I am a lecturer of philosophy at a medical technical school while as the owner of my apartments. I can't provide accommodation as good as five star hotels, but I'd like to offer reasonable and inexpensive self-catering accommodation which is popular with independent travelers and the people who wants to spend time slowly in the ancient city of Kyoto and who like stroll and cycling.

My school where I teach is in Nara and my school where I studied in graduate school is in Osaka, therefore I often go to Nara or Osaka.I have information about not only Kyoto but also Nara and Osaka.

I was a travel adviser in Osaka Youth Hostel Association when I was a graduate that time there was an office Of OYHA in Namba, so I walked round Namba and Nipponbashi. I went to Osaka from Kyoto by bicycle many times in those days.

Although I was born in Kyoto and grown up in Kyoto, I seldom know about tourist areas. However I can talk about ordinary life in Kyoto. If you want to know something interesting in Kyoto, please ask me something like to be about the cat of the back alley, but this is a metaphor.

I took a trip to all parts of Japan(47 prefectures) in order to collect postmarks, visited over 1000 post offices. I stopped collecting postmarks, but I can answer about the railway travel and bus trip in Japan.
