Shahar was pleasant and quick with responding to my msgs. The location seemed fairly safe and bus stop was right around the corner but you had to take the bus to get to a train station. As for the house itself, it was actually just the basement lvl of the house. There was no A/C but was provided one fan which wasn't enough to cool the whole basement so it was quite difficult to sleep at night. The towels were brand new, (URL HIDDEN) we ended up with lots of blue lints on our skins and everywhere when we used the towels. Also wasn't sure if the cleaning person was in a rush as I know there was a delay in cleaning the basement prior to our arrival, but the place was still rather dusty when we went in. Overall, it was my first airbnb experience, didn't know what to expect, the price was good but as for comfort lvl I probably would not rent again especially during hot weather season bc of the lack of A/C, however, if that doesn't bother you and with some dust...then it's not a bad value for the area.

There were some people living in the floor above, which is not properly isolated. I had to stay awake until 3 AM one day because there was some religious celebration happening upstairs, and so I could hear their dancing steps. If you happen to meet the neighbour and ask them politely to try keep some generous silence, then you'll good. Hopefully, that happened once and after some discussion things went back to normal. In general, it's a great experience for someone who wants to feel comfortable and adventurous in NY, meaning that you must love to walk and take public bus or subway in order to feel the real vibe at this big city. So, I strongly recommend this place and their hosts for such experience. Thanks Shahar and Denis!

Staying at Shahar's apartment was nothing short of magnificent. He's very kind, his apartment is very clean, he told me how to commute with public transportation, and supplied me clean towels! I would recommend this apartment to anybody that's thinking about planning a trip to New York. Shahar was out of town during my stay at his apartment and everytime I texted him, we quickly responded to my questions and answered every question I had. The neighborhood is in a very quiet area and the neighbors were kind! Also, there's multiple eating spots in the area that are walking distance. Overall, my trip was excellent and I would recommend anybody to stay at Shahar's apartment!
