Kristina and Fausto were fantastic hosts! They were helpful in every way. They are locals to the area and know absolutely everything about region like getting to Pompeii, Ravello, Vesuvius, Capri and Amalfi.  We were celebrating my wife's 50th birthday and they gave her a vase of freshly picked Rose's from their garden and a bottle of Orange liqueur.  Kristina prepared a fabulous 4 course dinner on the evening of our arrival. We drank a bottle of refreshing red bubbly wine which also came from their own vines! Dessert was grapes and fruits which were harvested from the garden. We stayed on the 3rd floor which had a lovely terrace overlooking the valley below and the island of Ischia. We were lucky to have beautiful red sunsets every night. It was nice to listen to the birds and wildlife in the evenings. There was an abundance of hot water when showering, and the WiFi worked a treat. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Even with coffee and tea! Here's a tip: if you don't want to cook, then walk down to the end of the driveway and order a takeaway dinner there. They open at 7pm. We went there at 5pm and ordered 2 pizzas, some pasta, and mozzarella pomodoro salad. It was not expensive either. We went down at 7, and our dinner was ready.  We ate on the terrace and watched the sunset.  Other tips: Instead of driving to Sorrento, it's 10x better to drive the car to Castellamare and take the local train to Sorrento. You don't have to worry about parking in Sorrento, and really enjoy walking around town. We then took the ferry from Sorrento to Capri and spent the night. On the return back from Capri to Monticelli, we took the ferry back to Castellamare which is where we left the car overnight!  We really enjoyed wandering around their bountiful garden. Grapes, figs, capers, walnuts, lemons, limes, pomegranates etc. Their dogs are very friendly and loved walking around with us. We wished we could have stayed an extra week to help harvest the olives from their 200 olive trees. Kristina is very proud of her olive oil because she picks and presses the olives in the same day! She said the oil has no bitterness. I would highly recommend staying with Kristina and Fausto. It's a perfect location to enjoy all the surrounding, bustling tourist sights...and then arrive back to enjoy the peace and tranquility of Monticelli. Your in safe hands too. Fausto is a surgeon, and Kristina is an orthopedic therapist! Grazie Kristina and Fausto! We'll always remember your kindness and generosity on our stay at Monticelli!

This place is unreal. The view is unbeatable. The inside is bigger than expected and the kitchen is so adorable, I couldn't get over it. If you get the chance, let Alessandra's mom cook for you, it is SOOOOO DELICIOUS!!!

Great location (although difficult to find, even with GPS), with stunning views over the bay and town. Cristina is a fine cook and our supper was delicious (check prices first), and everyone was kind and helpful. Cristina & Fausto speak English too - a great help. Highly recommended!

It was a very pleasant stay. Host family took care on us from booking till check out. Stayed connected via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), very flexible. Appartment is very nice+ functional with this beautiful terrace (like!!!!). A lot of upgrade work has been done. Personal transport is required to access+travel (very good compromise to visit Amalfi 45 min, Sorrent 30 min, Pompeii 20 min, Napoli 40 min)

We liked it so much here, we cut short our tour to spend a few moe days. Christina and Fausto made us feel so much at home, nothing was too much trouble and they were always offering us grapes, fruits, wine, food, oil - very happy and delightful people. The location is great - access to the Amalfi coast, to Naples, Pompei, Herculenum, the Mountians of the National Park, Versuvius. The apartment is beautiful! Views ... Honestly, one of the best Ho,I days w've had. Fabulous.
