The house was born in 1938. How amazing right...but with it's charm, there are a few characteristics to get used to; like doors sticking and squeaks, all of which add to the good old charm! If you like comfortable and simple, and need space, you'll feel right at home!

Beautiful and quaint house in a quiet street and yet within short driving distance to shops, restaurants, parks and nightlife. I stayed a month and enjoyed the back porch and beautiful little garden and veggie garden, as well as the comfortable home. Definitely recommend this home!

Staying at Barbara's was like going back home. The room, the bathroom, the kitchen and the breakfast den were just perfect. Everything was clean, we had plenty of towels and we even found complimentary water bottles and snacks in our room. We didn't meet Barbara personally but she was very thorough in the notes she left and in the communication via the website. Only 5 minutes away from the centre. I'll definitely stay at Barbara's again next time I am in Pittsburgh!

This was our second stay with Barbara and we would definitely return again. We loved the special touches that Barbara made to ensure we were comfortable, including home-made berry preserves that she remembered we loved during a previous visit! The room was clean, comfortable, and private, and the breakfast was a real treat, with lots of fresh fruits. The location was very convenient and the neighborhood was charming.

What a pleasure for you both to have made my home your choice of where you stayed during your Pittsburgh/CMU visit. I hope for you both safe travels, adventure and good health.

Barbara's place was so comfortable and relaxing. Everything is within a short drive. She made us coffee in the morning and gave good tips on what to see. Would definitely stay here again!

Barbara was a great host. Cute house in a quiet neighborhood. We brought a twin-sized air mattress with us and there was enough space for it at the foot of the bed. Barbara left breakfast out in the mornings and was available to answer any questions we had. I hope to visit again next time I'm in Pittsburgh!
