Absolute beach-front in Paekakariki, a Kapiti coast village 40km from Wellington City.

Te One is a classic 1970's bach with open plan kitchen & living area, stunning deck, vintage furniture and contemporary art. Only 3 minutes walk to train station, cafe, deli, and an excellent pub/restaurant.

Enjoy swimming, beach walks, hiking, mountain biking (our 2 normally available) or just relax on the deck. Unlimited high speed WiFi. Netflix, Youtube, Spotify, TVNZ on demand (no broadcast TV).

The space
Te One is one in a group of of eight beachfront apartments in Paekakariki, and is a stone's throw away from cafes, the local pub/bistro/ and the train. We've owned it for many years and love spending time there. We hope you will too.

Enjoy the outdoors while you are there - walking, hiking, mountain biking - or enjoy the hospitality of our lovely, friendly village. Lots to do if you like to get out and about.

Guest access
The place is yours! You are most welcome to use the mountain bikes, boogie boards etc. Feel free to use anything from the pantry, fridge or freezer. If you use heaps, just replace it or leave some cash to cover the costs.

You'll find everything you need for a very comfortable stay.

Hi there (or Kia Ora, which is Maori for hello). You pronounce it Key Aura:-) Grant and I are both proud New Zealanders, based in Wellington. In our spare time enjoy spending our weekends at our bach in Paekakariki, which is 40 minutes drive north of Wellington. We are both active , I enjoy yoga, pilates, walking and mountain biking and Grant runs, hunts and is a very keen cook. Both Grant and I love great food and wine and pursuit of the next meal seems to dictate a lot of what we do on holiday. We are also big fans of live music (blues, country, alt country etc). We both enjoy travelling, prefering to be slightly off the beaten track where we get the opportunity to meet some of the locals and try out the local hospitality. If we can pick the perfect place to stay, it will have a great view, interesting furniture and art and little bits of luxury like linen, glassware etc. And that's what we will promise you if you decide to stay with us.
