Perfect spot for a family wedding at Gedney Farm! Charming home situated on a quiet little road in the Berkshires. We enjoyed delicious pastries, sandwiches, soup, and coffee at The Southfield Cafe. Thanks to Gary and Christine for everything!

My parents, my sister and her boyfriend, my husband and I were attending a wedding at Gedney Farm and had been looking for a place to stay nearby. Gary and Christine’s beautiful home was a five minute drive down the road- it couldn’t have been more convientent! We felt so welcomed from the minute we arrived and were pleasantly surprised at how new and clean everything was (and I have very high standards for what I consider clean). Christine gave us the grand tour of the house and had a bunch of great suggestions for places to eat and things to do in the area. There really wasn’t a single thing that they didn’t think of for their guests including a fire pit in the back that we didn’t get a chance to use- next time! The weather was perfect the weekend we stayed there and relaxing on the front porch was probably the highlight of our trip. I cannot reccomend this home highly enough whether you are in the area or just looking for a little weekend getaway. We hope to visit again soon!

We had a wonderful time at Gary's home. The house was incredibly clean, nicely furnished, and had great amenities. As others have mentioned, the cafe across the street is a great spot for breakfast/lunch, and there's a lot of great hiking to be done nearby as well!

Gary's place was a perfect retreat for my large family. Gary was able to accommodate us on so many levels from baby gates if needed to our late night arrival. He even gave us a great recommendation for places to eat.

We loved our weekend stay at Gary's place! Everything was incredibly clean, spacious, and we had exactly what we needed to cook. Although the place was a bit far from stores, we e joyed the cafe across the street for coffee and breakfast. Thanks Gary!

The property is exactly as depicted and the host, Gary, was very considerate. The house was recently reconstructed and we found it to be modern, clean, and comfortable, very well provided with appliances and supplies. We were 5 adults and one infant and fit very well in the 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in the main house. There is also a recently built separate one bedroom apartment with bath and kitchen, also very clean and modern. The location is excellent, with a breakfast/lunch cafe just a short walk away, and about 20 minutes from Great Barrington, Stockbridge, or Canaan, Connecticut. Highly recommended for a visit to the Berkshires.

Gary and Christine are great hosts! Check-in was a breeze and the home was extremely clean and organized. We absolutely loved the location and proximity to town, it was far enough that we were off the grid in terms of cellular service (we had wif service), but close enough to enjoy the local attractions such as the outdoor summer concert at Tanglewood where the Boston Symphony Orchestra resides in the summer. We also visited the Norman Rockwell museum. The location of the home was perfect! In addition, the Southfield Store, located across the street, was a great place to pick-up breakfast in the morning. My family and I will definitely be back we had a great time.
