The place is a modern retreat in the middle of beautiful surroundings. The Old Dairy has a real homely feel and we instantly felt relaxed with the thoughtful welcome pack of scones and wine. We took on board some tips from our hosts and had an excellent 4 day break (if only longer) we look forward to returning one day and we recommend to any of our friends. Thank you once again for a great break

Amazing home away from home, perfect for exploring the many sites Cornwall has to offer. The Old Dairy is an immaculate, well appointed home, full of extra little touches. The hosts are very welcoming and have plenty of local information. Overall a highly recommended property, and one we’ll be returning to again one day!

We could not recommend The Old Dairy enough! We had an amazing 3 night stay the only thing we would change is that we could have stayed longer! It is the perfect location for anyone wanting to explore Cornwall. The house has everything you could need and more! Kate and Kevin made us feel so welcome and the cream tea and wine on arrival was so kind! We would highly recommend to anyone and can’t wait to go back soon!x

We stayed at the Old Dairy for 3 nights and really enjoyed our time there. The place was furnished like a home would be, with all the amenities (they even have a stick blender in the kitchen). The house was very clean. When we arrived we were greeted by Kevin and Kate and a Cornish cream tea which was a very welcome treat. They helped us get our feet on the ground and gave us directions to some high points of Cornwall - they even provided detailed maps of the area. Overall, the house had a very cosy atmosphere which is helped by a fireplace in the living room, a big yard, and a truly dark and quiet nighttime in the forest. The house is placed in the centre of southern Cornwall so it was quite close to a lot of beautiful places, only some of which we managed to visit (St. Michael's Mound, Lizard Point ...),and after a long day's worth of sightseeing it is a great place to come back to and relax, and get ready for another day of travelling around Cornwall.

We stayed at the Old Dairy for a week in September. It's very well set up for children, with a stair gate if required, plus travel cot, blackout blind, highchair, plastic plates and cutlery, a basket of toys and a fine collection of buckets and spades. There's also a huge garden with a summer house full of toys and a small slide and set of swings. Our nearly 2 year old loved helping to feed the chickens and the pig in the mornings. That said, this would be a great place to come without kids and enjoy the peace and quiet. The location is ideal to get to both the north and south coast (Kynance cove and Church cove being particular favourites). It's also walking distance to Godolphin House - a National Trust house and gardens with a great tea room and fantastic views from Godolphin hill. Kevin and Kate were ideal hosts - around if we needed anything but otherwise left us to enjoy ourselves. The cream tea on arrival went down a treat, thanks Kate!

We moved to Cornwall as a family in October 2010 with the intention of setting up our own holiday letting business and to have our own Cornish escape from our previous lifestyle.

We are Kate and Kevin Thomas and have 3 young boys who love the freedom of the great outdoors.
