My wife and I stayed here with another couple and our 2 small dogs. We were there for the total solar eclipse and stayed 4 nights. At the time of booking, there were very few photos and little information on AirBnB about the place. However, because of the eclipse there was very little available in the area so we all decided to take the risk. We are very glad we did. Here are some of the reasons why:
- beautiful beach location. water visible from the unit. beach literally across the street. even with the total eclipse crowds the beach was almost empty most of the time.
- surprisingly spacious unit. the bathroom is big; bedrooms are good size; there's also a living room area (with an acadequate TV), decently sized kitchen, and dining area. also note there's a huge deck that faces the beach that is attached to the unit (and shared with the unit next door). unfortunately, the deck was in the middle of being renovated so we couldn't enjoy it.
- pretty good amenities. wi-fi was reliable and much faster than expected (about 40 down, 8 up when I clocked it). well-stocked kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and electric stove/oven. free onsite parking.
- friendly host/manager who is onsite in an office during business hours. she was thoughtful enough to leave NASA-certified eclipse glasses for us in the unit for when we arrived! she's super dog friendly and the entire complex seems to be home to lots of dogs
If you care about aesthetic, then you might be displeased with the carpet/colors/furniture, which are all basically from the 70s/80s and don't really match each other. I didn't care and neither did the dogs!
Anyways, I'm glad I booked this place!
