Great place to stay in Capetown if you dont want to feel like a tourist and want to experince proper suburb Capetown life. Janet and Andrew gave us fantastic local recommendations of things to do in the City, as we had done most of the tourist things before. The flat is comfortable and has everything that you need for a home from home stay. We particularly liked that we had our own private entrance and space so that we didnt feel we were disturbing the family or being disturbed. The location is good with the city and most of the main sights circa 15 minutes by car as long as you time your journey to miss the Capetown traffic. Great place to stay.

We staid at Janet's place for 5 days and it was a great experience. Both Janet and Andrew were lovely hosts and they really care about their guest's comfort. Inside the house you'll find a brochure prepared by them with all major attractions plus nearby shops&restaurants. Without their useful tips on how to plan our vacation plus their GPS we would have missed lots of places. The house is perfect for a holiday and it has everything you might need; a great bed, cleanliness, quietness, a lovely garden plus a fully equipped kitchen. We would definitely recommend the place to our friends ! PS: I've forgot the mention about the bottle of local wine they left just for us on the kitchen table :) Overall a wonderful experience!!

Ailsworth Courtyard Cottage was everything we hoped for and more. We found the location ideal for exploring the Cape Town region by car with a secure parking place and comfy lodging with a fully fitted kitchen for preparing meals. Our hosts were warm and generous with their local knowledge...helping us plan the best weather day for visiting Table Mountain and lending picnic gear for an outdoor concert at Kirstenbosch Gardens. We will be returning!
