This tastefully converted stone and cob barn is the perfect location to relax and explore for both couples and families. Located on our family smallholding in rural countryside it boasts both peace and quiet yet it is ideally placed to visit both the North & South Cornish coasts, the world famous Eden Project and many pretty villages and harbours.

The space

The property is split into two levels, downstairs is a fully equipped kitchen with a welcoming oil fired Rayburn, also an electric hob if needed, the bathroom with a bath and shower, and the twin bedroom.
Upstairs is a light and airy living area with comfy sofas and a log burner. The barn also has central heating. The main double bedroom is off the lounge.

Guest access

Guests are able to park their car outside the property, there is plenty of space for their bikes if needed, also a utility area with a washing machine.
There is an orchard garden with a washing line if needed.

Interaction with guests

We live in the farmhouse alongside the barn so are normally around to give help with directions, suggested local sights and any general assistance.
There is information, maps and leaflets in the property to assist our guests.
We also have a small number of games to amuse.

A good base for travelling to either coast. Beautiful, rural location-saw two owls ! Fabulous food at Molesworth Arms, Wadebridge and wonderful sunday lunch and friendly service at The Ship Inn Pentewan. The barn, itself, is cosy, clean and well equipped.

Very nicely converted barn, loved the wood burner and Aga. Shaun and Han were very welcoming and helpful hosts. Very pretty surroundings and nice local walks to do, secluded area but not far to drive to local beaches. Wi-fi and 3G/4G very sparse due to the location but this could be a bonus if you want to escape and have a bit of time off-line. Lovely cream tea for us on arrival. Thanks Shaun and Han!

Great base to explore the best parts of Cornwall. Excellent hosts who do everything to make your stay stress free and relaxing. Kids loved feeding the resident pig apples! Highly recommended

We had a great stay at The Barn. Shaun was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived and there was a lovely cream tea also. The barn was very well equipped, we had everything we could possibly need in the kitchen and was very well equipped for children (stairgates, travel cot, highchair, nightlights, books and games etc). The location was excellent, perfectly placed for exploring both North Cornwall and mid-South Cornwall. The Eden Project and great beaches around the St Austell area were only around a 30 minute drive. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend to others.

Shaun and Han are the loveliest and most welcoming hosts! Even if we arrived later than planned, they waited for us, gave us a warm welcome and also suggested some things that we could do in the area. There was cream tea in the fridge, which was a treat! The accommodation is very clean and cozy and it is situated in a quiet location. You can do some walks in the area - the views are amazing and the fresh air is the perfect way to start your day. And if you are lucky and there are no clouds in the sky at night time, you will enjoy the most amazing view from the garden. You can drive to places like the Eden Project, the Camel Trail or one of the SW costal walks in about 30 minutes or so. We would definitely recommend Shaun and Han's place and we would not hesitate to come back! Thanks both for this lovely stay!
