This apartment is close to central station, city centre and Groninger Museum. It's in a quiet neighborhood on the 2nd floor. You'll be sharing the front door with me and my daughter and my boyfriend, we live on the 1st floor. The apartment is quiet, light and private. There are two bedrooms: one large room and one smaller room, both with queen-size (+160cm) beds. There is one bathroom with toilet & tub and a living room with an open kitchen. Free parking for one car available on request.
The apartment is on the 2nd floor of an old house (herenhuis), built around 1920. We keep hearing that people love the light in the apartment, that the beds are great, and that the general vibe is creative and spacious. It might be worth noting that the apartment is up two flights of stairs, Dutch stairs, a bit steep, 30 stairs in total. Point being that this is something to consider if you've got an old football injury or are traveling with giant bags of luggage.
Guests receive a key for the street door, which they share with us (the door, not the key), and a key for their own private apartment upstairs.
Interaction with guests
Either myself or my partner/co-host Mark will be available via the Airbnb website if there are questions.
Other things to note
There is Wifi, an acoustic guitar and a stereo with CDs and LPs, but no TV. The listing notes that there is a clothes washer, which is true, but as is typical in Europe there is no clothes dryer, people generally hang their wash to dry here.
Hi there, all we ask is normal responsible human behavior, you're sharing a building with us and our neighbors are close by. So, no parties, nothing that really sounds or smells or looks like a party, etc. We have a neighbor who has a low tolerance for house music and/or festive screaming, and we will definitely hear from her if she can hear you. Sorry: we love a party as much as the next person, but this just isn't the place to have one.
