My place is close to NATURE and a village of real Australian locals. Also, I offer free transport to and from the beautiful beaches of Surfers Paradise between Monday to Friday :)
You’ll love my place because of the high ceilings... but most of all it feels like a real home where you can truly relax and be free.... My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). It is an open, respectful, tolerant atmosphere where you are truly welcome & respected!

What I Can Share with Guests
Respect and hospitality most of all. A place to have a clean and comfortable "home" for a few days where you don't have to live out of a backpack...
The house is a gorgeous, renovated traditional wooden Queenslander home, over 100 years old, but with modern comforts like air-conditioning/heating, new kitchen and bathroom etc. There is a big back deck that looks out over the forest and it perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine or sunbathing.
Natural rainforests, waterfalls, native animals and incredible views are all around us here. There is a vibrant artistic and musical community here too! A great place to chill and recharge while also being a lot of fun!

Guest access

I will be here to greet you when you arrive :)

Interaction with guests

Teach: English, history, law, literature, sailing skills, car repair and mechanics and writing,..
Learn: I would love to learn about your culture/s and how you feel about life. Also, I want to learn to speak Russian and think Japan is fascinating!
Share: I can share with you whatever wisdom I have gathered in a pretty crazy life, plus help you to understand Australia and our ideas, beliefs and cultural perspectives. The more we share, the more we understand...

Other things to note

If you want privacy, to be left alone to 'do your own thing", I respect that! If you want to share and interact, I am delighted to do that too - In my travels, I have always been so generously helped by people who took me into their homes and showed me the reality of their lives. I live in a very special place and now want to share it with other travelers who want a space that is safe, warm and welcoming to explore. Apart from writing, my true vocation, I love the arts. Music is a great passion - from 300 year old choral polyphony to contemporary electronica and whatever is next, I like the way the unfolding of the world is best described by music.
My only sport is classic wooden yacht sailing. Several years ago I qualified in remedial massage (to help a partner who had a bad back) and I still enjoy using it to soothe aches and pains among my friends.

My life has been far from ordinary, with many adventures and meaningful moments. It has been constantly enriched by some truly amazing people. I have left my former corporate career to live a simpler, more natural life here in the forest and write my novels and give back through founding a charity. I offer respect and hospitality most of all. A place to have a clean and comfortable "home" where you don't have to live out of a backpack...
