Just minutes walk from vibrant Katoomba St. with its cafes restaurants, yet close to Echo point and other scenic attractions, Temora is perfectly positioned for you to enjoy the best of the blue mountains. With its soaring high ceilings, kauri pine floors, and expansive spaces, Temora can accommodate large families or groups ( up to 14 people), with all the features to make your stay comfortable and relaxing .
With 4 double bedrooms, a sitting room or 5th bedroom with fold out sofa (and a piano for the musically inclined) , and a sun room/study with lounge/day bed, there's an abundance of spaces to relax. Each room has electric blankets, a heater and ample bedding including non allergenic quilts and pillows if needed. The large master room is ideal for a couple and child, with a king and single, or 3 single beds.
The lounge is equipped with wireless internet, TV and DVD player, with a wide variety of DVDs to choose from, and selection of board games. There are maps for bush walking and local attractions, and a selection of fiction and non-fiction books to read. The kitchen is fully equipped with a 4 burner gas oven, a Miele dishwasher, Smeg microwave, juicers, blenders, tea and coffee, dried food (rice, beans etc.,),oil, spices, and everything you need to cook up a storm.
The laundry has a second shower and toilet and large washer and dryer.
The wrap around verandah provides ample outdoor areas for reading, relaxing or just watching the sun set over the valley, and can be accessed from the master bedroom and sitting room via security screen doors, which maximize the flow of cool evening breezes during the summer months. When temperatures fall, the 2 slow combustion, ultra efficient fireplaces in the living room and the master bedroom keep the living areas cosy, and if you don't feel like getting the fire going, the reverse cycle heating /air conditioning will warm the house in minutes.

Occupancy and Discounts:
Extra guests - $50 using existing bedding. If additional beds (fold outs, sofas etc) are required please let me know as there is a linen charge of $20 per bed for bookings of 6 and under.
Discounts apply to bookings of stays longer than 4 nights, so please enquire. For smaller groups and couples there is a discount of $50 per unused room - which will remain locked. Bedding configurations are flexible, so please let me know your preferences.

For pet owners, it is essential to let me know if you are bringing your pet/s so that I can arrange additional cleaning. There is an additional charge of $50 per pet if staying indoors, no fee for pets in the laundry or outside - the back and front yards are fully fenced, Please note that evidence of undeclared pets will result in the loss of the security deposit, as will evidence of pets sleeping in beds or on the furniture.

There are a couple of cupboards and sheds that are used for storage and either locked or obviously off limits for guests.
Interaction with guests
In general I keep a hands off approach but live nearby so can attend to any problems. I am also reachable by phone or text.

Please let me know the number of guests and preferred bedding configurations before you come. For insurance purposes the number of guests cannot exceed the number listed on the booking at any time.

All pets must be declared in advance. There is a $50 fee per pet per booking for pet staying inside. Evidence of undeclared pets or pets in beds or on the furniture will result in loss of the security deposit.
For security purposes, infants 0-2 must be declared at the time of booking but are not free, they count as guests unless otherwise negotiated.
The standard cleaning fee is for 3 hrs, additional cleaning fees will be charged if necessary, so please leave the house clean and tidy.
Wi-fi is free - please call if you're having trouble connecting. Linen, towels, kitchen basics and firewood all supplied.
The wood fires are lovely but as with all wood fires create a certain amount of dust, so if you have allergies it might be best to use the electric heaters and R/C heating.
