Great location
95% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
The apartment is a quiet & very pleasant place to relax and have a good time while enjoying the heart of central Barcelona.
This duplex has great features like vaulted ceilings, original doors and exposed brick and is just waiting for your visit!

The space
The apartment has a personality all its' own, but it's also quiet so you can have a big night out or a peaceful night in... and the private patio is a perfect spot for a glass of Spanish vino or cafe con leche in the morning.  A large, open plan kitchen lends itself to cooking, and the more than 4 meter height in the living area brings air and light to the whole space!

Fully equipped and ready to enter, this loft is the perfect place to stay and enjoy Barcelona, night and day!

It doesn't get more convenient than this.

The apartment itself also features some typical Catalan architectural details such as its' arched ceiling and the detailed brick work that makes up its main wall... Its' curious shape is also due to the original (and award winning) urban layout design that makes Barcelona's Eixample (or Extension) District so famous!

The apartment offers FREE WIFI, is equipped with all the dishes, flatware, bedding necessary and has a washer / dryer for your convenience. A flat screen TV and reading materials are also provided.

There is No smoking inside the apartment but is possible to do so on the outside "patio"

Hope to welcome you soon!

Everybody Friendly!

Guest access

Location

Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain

We are located in Eixample district, one block from then newly remodeled Ninot Market full of fresh produce, Gourmet stalls and restaurants!
The area is full of cafes and bars where you will be able to enjoy tapas, wine bars, boutiques and cocktail bars!

Pharmacies, grocery stores, parking garages, etc all abound around the loft.

Full description:

Eixample, which translates as "extension" in recognition of its status as the newer part of the city, is a large area north of Plaça Catalunya spreading left and right of Passeig de Gràcia.
The area is indeed an extension to the city that benefits greatly from its ingenious urban planning at the hands of Catalan engineer Cerdes in the 1850s. Cerdes had a fondness for straight lines and the whole area is set out in a grid with each block having an inner courtyard. This means that it is hard to get lost in Eixample, and moreover, easy to find places.

Nowadays Eixample is famous for being home to the majority of Barcelona's art nouveau masterpieces, and a high-class residential and shopping area.

There are many interesting art galleries in the area and if art appeals then be sure to have a look in Fundacion Antoni Tapies which is just off Passeig de Gràcia and has a permanent collection of this Catalan artist's work.
Eixample is a safe and residential part of the city but there is also a vibrant nightlife and a thriving café culture. Eixample is a beautiful barrio to wander round, take in the glorious architecture and people-watch from one of the many terrace cafes.

It is in Eixample that you will find some of the best restaurants in town for every budget!

The Ninot Market with its color produce and even more colorful hawkers, is only a block from the flat! The restaurants inside and market stalls that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner will let you see how locals live and eat!

Transport to and from the area is good. Eixample is serviced by several metro stops, as well as the FGC train.

- Full of great restaurants for all tastes and budgets.
- Lively nightlife with a great selection of bars and clubs.
- Close to many museums including the MACBA, MNAC & the CCCB.
- Close to the sights and sounds of Montjuic including the Magic Fountain.
- Fantastic public transport links and taxis are readily available

A little history
Characterised by its long straight streets, arranged in a grid pattern, Eixample was designed at the hands of Catalan engineer Cerda in the 1850s and is a model of urban planning worldwide due to its broad streets, central patios for every city block, and the "cut off corners" at every intersection that allow more light, and a better flow of traffic because they allow deliveries and double parkers, to pull out of the actual street.

‘Gayxample’
L’Eixample Izquierda is the major gay district in Barcelona and has even acquired the nickname ‘Gayxample’ due to its vibrant gay scene, lively nightlife, stylish stores and numerous gay bars. However this is no way an exclusively gay area, it’s suitable for anyone to visit and you will find a wide selection of great restaurants, bars and boutiques!
