This home is great for families (with kids),couples, walkers, any one who loves the sea and likes to get away from it all. We accept well behaved pets

The space

Built by our Grandfather in 1939 and used for family holidays by 6 generations of our family, this much loved holiday home, sleeping up to 7 guests is situated in a stunning position looking out over the cliffs towards the Atlantic ocean on Ireland's beautiful copper coast about 1.6 km from the pretty village of Annestown. The area offers fantastic scenery and lovely beaches. The nearest small town is Tramore about 12 km away, or the city of Waterford which has a small airport is about 20km away.

The accommodation is basic but comfortable comprising 3 double bedrooms ( one furnished with a double bed and two furnished with twin beds) and 1 single bedroom off the kitchen, all rooms have plenty of storage space. A spacious light and airy living/dining room with picture windows offers fabulous sea views and is furnished with 2 sofas and a chair arranged around the fire place. A Long purpose made table is set in front of one window and provides plenty of space to eat, paint, and play - all at the same time if you want to! There is no TV or Wifi access, and limited mobile signal, making this the ideal place to get away from your electronic devices! There are plenty of books, games, and jigsaw puzzles if the weather lets you down, but the views across the bay are captivating in all weathers.

The kitchen is old fashioned, but well equipped with a fridge freezer, electric oven and hob, kettle and dishwasher, as well as plenty of cook ware and cutlery and china and a multi fuel stove.
There is one bathroom with a large bath, and separate shower cabinet, a toilet and basin, a separate WC and a third outside toilet (if you are brave enough to face the spiders!) the washing machine is housed here. There is no tumble drier, but there is a long washing line and a victorian airer in the kitchen.
The house has a large garden bordered with with dry stone wall. There is plenty of parking space for several cars

Us 4 adults plus our 5month old baby and 3 dogs were really happy here for the week. It was clean with a nice shower and comfy beds. If the sound of the sea when relaxing in the evening or having breakfast on the veranda overlooking the sea appeals to you then this place was amazing for that! The dogs were safe with a gate enclosing the place. The rooms were spacious. Alice was lovely. Overall would really recommend here and will hopefully return next year. Tip: bring binoculars for bird or whale watching!

The location is stunning, amazing sea views. The gardens are beautiful and the children were very happy there. As noted the kitchen is old fashioned but was perfectly adequate for our family of 6. We would love to return when back in Ireland

The house is full of character and was the perfect home for our week stay. It was exactly as pictured and very comfortable and spacious. We loved the outdoor terrace and the fantastic views. There is a choice of beaches close by and only five minutes by car to a fantastic bar and restaurant, ten minutes to tramore. Alice was very helpful and ensured we had everything we needed. We look forward to staying there again !

We had a great week at Anabel's. The scenery from the property is absolutely incredible. The house is really well kitted out with comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen and lots of fuel for the fire and log burner. We were very lucky with the weather. The property is well placed for easy drives to scenic locations and walks around County Waterford.
