My husband, teenage daughter and I spent a week at Joe's place and had the most wonderful visit. We were in town to see colleges, sightsee and visit some friends. It truly gave us a sense of place and while its eclectic aesthetic might not appeal to everyone, we loved it. The location gave us easy access to all the LA sights and anything else we needed, of course taking into account LA traffic. The house was airy, spacious and clean. We especially enjoyed the outdoor terraces and the pool. The kitchen had a complete set of cookware and an odd assortment of everything else, but totally doable. Joe was simply an incredible host. He responded promptly to any inquiry, made sure we were set with the house, and generously offered information about the area, sights to see and restaurants. It was a very memorable visit and we enjoyed immensely.

This place is great in most ways -- it's a strange and delightful home. But during our stay, we were disappointed by the pool and hot tub -- the heating in the pool didn't work very well, and the hot tub didn't work at all. Given that the pool area is the home's main selling point, this was pretty disappointing.

Response from Joe:
Well I hope you were able to enjoy your stay overall and sorry again about the hot tub! Two jets weren't working and since you understandably didn't want the serviceman working while you were we had to turn it off. Regardless, wrong pump was ordered so unfortunately was delayed a week anyway. As for the pool, it just takes a while to heat up and the breaker must have tripped mid stay since the hot tub was shut off. My apologies again.

An absolutely AMAZING place. Beautifully decorated, with lots of character and history throughout. The front and backyards were beautiful and well maintained. Pool was great. The rocking suspended bed was just awesome - I had my doubts about it at first, but its gentle rocking lulled me to sleep every night and now I am trying to figure out how to get one like that in my own house. The location was of course safe and convenient to pretty much everything I needed. Joe was very helpful and quick to respond to any of my questions. One of the most unique and cosy places I've ever stayed in. Thank you, Joe!

Really unique home and decor. The outdoor space is also nice, but we didn't use it due to rain. Swinging/hanging bed was kind of cool, but it moved a bit too much for us to sleep well. We used the other bed in the master bedroom. Some of the fixtures and appliances seemed quite old, but the guest shower looked new and worked well.

Greetings! Thanks for checking out my ad and profile. My name is Joe and I am a creative professional working in landscape design and I also own a small antiques/furniture/art business here in the Los Angeles area. When not working, I can be found in a yoga class, the gym, dining in or out, relaxing at home, or traveling as I am a yogi and global nomad at heart and love to travel and meet new people any chance I get. I also teach 4 yoga classes a week and am a certified massage therapist. I enjoy spending time with close friends as well as meeting new people from all over the country and world and from all walks of life! While I am originally from the midwest my family now lives in Hawaii and my favorite places I have been in the past two years are Cuba, Buenos Aires, Istanbul, and always love visiting home as well as Miami where I soon hope to have a second place. I live behind the Hollywood Bowl so I enjoy seeing new concerts at the Bowl and also catching the latest movies. I particularly love Bollywood films. As a host, I try to create an environment for the guest that is a relaxing sanctuary from the daily stresses of an increasingly face paced world. I also tend to be quite knowledgeable of off the beaten path things to see and do and places to go in the LA area, especially in the arts as I have lived here for over 20 years since my college days. So please ask! One day I hope to combine all of my skills sets into one entity or place by creating a holistic wellness center in the mountains or near the beach in a beautiful, tranquil, exotic locale where my friends from all over the world can come visit and renew! My life motto is "Work Hard, Relax Harder! Cheers
