Extremely nice hosts, who were very willing to be accommodating and checked in often before, during and after stay. Would suggest they make changes based on other guest feedback both on the site and shared with me by the hosts. Also a bit pricey for location.

Response from Alison:
The entire home is sprayed with spray foam insulation to keep the noise level down even the underneath of the home. We have made changes based on other guest feedback. For ex: you asked the tv in the living room be turned down and it was. Also my place was moderately priced due to Essence Fest being in town and the hotels were way more. As far as cleanliness, I didn't put it in my review but I had to pick up all your cat litter that was left in the garbage can in the bedroom. And no one ever utilizes that shower but guests, and we clean it each time someone leaves. But thanks for the noise feedback. We will bring up that issue upon check in. And we will have to let people inspect the bathroom because I inspect daily and clean. I also bought a new shower mat for the bathtub and more new towels. It can be kind of cumbersome when individuals have to share a bathroom that's why I made yall aware up front but yall seemed exhausted and just wanted a comfortable clean room to rest. We provided that and more and it's definitely not a bit pricey when you take into account allowing someone to bring a pet and the host has to dump the litter. Most people charge security deposits, I don't I am an animal lover so I just go with the flow.

I agree with the mirror. I am thinking of hanging one of the antique mirrors up that was in the closet on the wall. I think it will look classy Steph

Response from Alison:
Ms. Lilly you urinated all over my towel and threw it on my hardwood floor. Who throws a towel with urine on a homeowner's hardwood floors. My site speaks for itself; I have great reviews. Your husband urinated all over my bathroom floor it took me 3 hours to clean on my hands and knees. You should pay for the cleaning and a new toilet seat. I am going to go through the resolution center I saved all my receipts as well as photos. You locked my other guest out of the bathroom and the house after being told not to deadbolt the front door just lock the bottom lock. You requested a full breakfast; I provided and yall ate it sometimes and wasted the rest. Therefore, costing me a huge grocery bill. You expected me to buy specific coffee. I ran and bought creamer and coffee for you at my expense each time requested because yall drink 12 cups daily. Yall emptied the entire pot each time not taking into consideration the house or the other guest. We went above and beyond giving yall rides instead of you having to take your own vehicle or public transportation because you complained about the price of everything while on vacation. This is not a nursing home. I may work with patients; however, I was not hired or paid to be your private PCA attendant. You parked your car in my private parking spot because I let you and never moved it due to the cost of gas. Yall broke my toilet seat slamming it down and with you and Mr. Joe's incontinent issues I had to sanitize the entire bathroom due to the odors you left for my other guest who felt very affected by the way you guys attempted to take over MY HOME. In the future, yall should stay in a hotel because yall expect 24/7 maid service. I missed work due to your headaches. And if I want to be on my sofa it's my home. I had to be on my sofa to monitor you and your husbands actions since you were destroying my property ex: threw a fully urinated towel on my hardwood floor instead of hanging it on the provided towel rack. I left you multiple notes. Who disrespects a homeowner that invites you to stay in their sanctuary? Put yourself in my shoes. I had to buy atleast 8 deodorizers because the smell was so overpowering it was traveling through the air conditioner vents. Shawn and I were always reachable, my spouse never left. You guys never were reachable you didn't bring your cell phone with you. It stayed on the extra chair that was in your bedroom. I provided you with a key to secure your belongings and you left the door open and the odor caught my attention and that is when I discovered the towel. As far as noise, that is a lie I have had to repeat myself 5 or 6 times while in conversation with you because you made us aware immediately that both of you were Hard of Hearing. You were even allowed an early check-in and a flexible check out. We rode you guys around because you didn't want to pay a cab and rode you around for FREE!!! You requested specific grocery items and I produced each time. Yall drank every coke and sprite in my fridge and it was full not considering others. Yall brought items back and labeled them with your name on it. You got my listing at a special rate. I gave you a magazine about New Orleans to orient you, allowed you to ask me questions about the city like where to eat, museums to visit, tips about safety concerning the French quarter. Shawn and I provided yall with a welcome kit that contained a welcome letter, special breakfast times, Mardi-Gras attire, hand-made soaps that we give special guests, brand new towels with tags on them that were just purchased. Unfortunately, locked my other guest out of the house for 45 minutes because of your hearing deficits and I still made it home to let him in and yall never apologized or felt bad about that. If someone rings or knocks on the door you should have the common courtesy to answer the door. The room occupied by you and your husband was spotless from the ceiling to the baseboards, dust free, flat screen tv with a remote, brand new bedroom furniture tags still attached . You rented a room not my entire house. In addition, if the breakfast area was a mess how come yall were able to eat breakfast at my table that still has the original tags on it from time of purchase. The kitchen was spotless until you and your husband made a complete mess out of the coffee station with your frequent spills. At your age, you need to travel with a sitter because it isn't the host's responsibility to take care of your every need. I washed every dish and you had the nerve to want to utilize my washing machine after putting soiled towels on my new hardwood floors. Yall need an orientation upon check in of what is expected when following house rules because you didn't follow any of them. One rule is shoes are to stay at the door you consistently walked through my house dragging your shoes scuffing my floors and refusing to leave your shoes at the door. It is a privilege to be able to take over one's home not a right and that is what I felt like an uninvited guest in my own home. How can you judge me as a host? Have you ever hosted on airbnb?I have excellent reviews, do you. I have never had such a negative experience and yall refused to address any issues I left notes about like grown adults. You avoided every single issue unless it concerned "your wants" not "your needs" as a guest. We provided you with A1 service and met your every single need even down to transportation almost causing me to be late to work that day in addition to the two days I had to miss to make sure things at the house were good because you weren't the only guest I hosted. Good luck in the future; I suggest you room with people closer to your age since hygiene issues aren't of extreme importance to you. Sincerely, Alison & Shawn
