Other things to note

Considered the sunset capital of Florida and listed as one of the Top Beaches in the World Pass-a-Grille/ St Pete Beach has typically flat water, white sand and shells backed by waving dunes of sea oats and palm trees. The neighborhood has colorful cottages most built in the 1920's on an island only 5 house wide. There are 10 restaurants in walking distance and the house comes with two beach cruiser bikes so cars are not needed. The gradual drop-off of the firm sand into the low waves makes for nice swimming for kids and miles of excellent walking or jogging at sunrise or sunset. Sunset sails, horseback riding on the beach, boat & wave runner rentals or fishing and golf are all close by- just ask me if you are interested in something locally! My husband and I stayed here for a week. The biggest selling point is the location, really fantastic to have such a short walk to the beautiful beach in PAG and an easy walk to good bars/restaurants if you want to stay local (we particularly enjoyed Sea Critters and The Brass Monkey). For us, the water pressure for the indoor shower seemed low to support the size of shower head, the Queen bed mattress was soft. We were a bit surprised the advertised beach cruiser bikes couldn't be used on the beach, irrespective of turtle nesting season. The patio area needed clearing, lots of leaves everywhere. We appreciated the parking space, beach chairs/towels, air con as it was extremely humid - the house had what we needed for our stay. The communal washer/dryer is in the garage and takes quarters, laundry detergent was provided which was helpful. We found the most stable WiFi signal seemed to be in the kitchen. Lisa was very responsive.

Response from Lisa:
This guest stayed in the seashell house I had not heard about the wifi signal issues until now (in this public setting.) Because of this review I have contacted a wifi technician to help with the concerns raised and I don't think this will be a problem in the near future. Additionally the private patio at this house is under a large tree and although the lawn and porch is blown weekly this time of year the leaves fall. This is not a usual issue and the leaf falling only lasts a few weeks. Had the guest let me know that it was bothersome I would have taken care of the matter most directly. Since I do not live on-site and it's my house not a hotel I did not know that it was that much of an issue as I thought a weekly lawn cleaning was enough. This may have been coupled with some unseasonably windy days - and the very recent hurricane IRMA. however I had done the patio myself prior to their arrival and it was clear of leaves. I do know it needs to be done at least once a week during the fall. Nonetheless I wish this guest all the happiness I would just ask that one please let me know there there are such concerns so they can be resolved quickly before they become an issue worth even mentioning.

Lisa's place was great! We definitely recommend it. It was clean and had everything we needed and we loved the beach decor. We loved we were able to walk to the beach just a block away and that part of the beach was away from the crowded areas. The water was calm in that area and the sand was level. It was easy to communicate with Lisa if we needed anything. We weren't able to take advantage of the bicycles as there were four of us (2 kids).

Two blocks from the best beach you'll ever experience!

Lisa's place is great! Close to everything, very comfortable and clean! She was easy to get a hold of and gave us a list of things to do. Loved the bikes! The beach is just right down the street. Lots of construction going on which scares ya when you first get there but it didn't bother us at all! Basically just on main road so just allow more time when going back to airport just in case. Lots of allies to go through to get around all that! Can't wait to come back! ️

Greetings! My sister and I love welcoming people to our home town and homes in Pass-a-Grille Beach. I practice Industrial Psychology and I enjoy meeting or talking to people and helping people with ideas when they are visiting my hometown! I also work as a realtor (in case you are looking at places when you are in town I can help) and I am a mom to a pretty amazing teenager. My husband and I also own a retail store in St Petersburg. For fun we love to travel, see new sights, and exercise. I have completed 8 Ironman races (nothing fast- just steady). We have two dogs (poodle and a golden retriever) and we try to live simply by enjoying all the wonderful activities in our area. I have lived in many places including, Arizona, New York City, Connecticut, (Fairfield county) and NY (Westchester County). However, I love my childhood home & area and I am thrilled to share it with you. When you book I will send you details about places to see and things to do in the St Pete area so you can create fantastic memories and Live Like a Local! I hope you love it as mush as We do! Let me know if you have any special questions or things you want to see from manatees to museums we have it all! :-) -Lisa & Cheryl
