This apartment is not the accommodations like as hotels and guest house, but a short-term lease apartment.

The apartment with a small bathroom and a small kitchen is convenient for long-term stay and self-cater. It is in the calm residential area in the northern part of Kyoto. There are 2 free bicycles, by which you can go around Kyoto.

The space

The room is about 16 square meters(include room, kitchenette, bathroom and toilet), it is a typical studio room size for single person, but stay in a couple is possible.

Guest access

You can use a kitchenette,a bathroom, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a washing machine in self-contained apartment.

Bath room is small, but there is a bathtub and a shower, a toilet is separated.

Though there is no beds, futon and mattress is very comfortable and arrangeable for you.

Air conditioning are equipped.

Two bicycles are available free!

Interaction with guests

When you check in, I or my staff can go to the bus stop(OmiyaTajiricho or OmiyaDaimoncho) to see you on foot. If you want, we can guide around my house at this time.

As my apartments are self-contained and I don't live here, I seldom have the chance to talk with my guests. However guests can easily contact me via email.

If you stay more than 2 weeks, I can go for a walk and to supper with you. But let's split the bill please! If you want, please invite me as I don't invite you.

Other things to note

Please tell me what time you arrive at my apartment no later than 3 days before your arrival. (I understand nobody knows how long it takes by immigration, bus, taxi and so on. So you can reschedule. But you had better contact me as soon as possible. Because if I have business another place, I cannot go to my apartment immediately.)

You can check-in in the morning, if the room is vacant in the morning. However, please ask in advance. If I have a business, it is impossible. If there are guests in the morning, you can check-in after 4 pm. If you really want to check-in in the morning, please book one more day.

There is a wifi. But it is for only normal personal use. It is not enough for heavy use. Please use it within 500MB per day. However, there is no guarantee that you can use 500 MB per day.

Usasan's flat is so amazingly well organised! It has everything you need and he has clear descriptions of each item you might want to use in English if you don't read Japanese. That made using the washing machine, heater etc child's play. He supplies maps, bus plans and all that as well. Truly organised, as I said! The flat is in a residential area in north Kyoto, a fourth minute ride With bus 9, but worth the trip: there are temples ant things to see nearby as well. We did not use the bikes, as it was too cold ans a bit wet when we were there, but riding in Kyoto must be fun! And we discovered the BEST sushi just on the main drag, three minutes walk away at a place called Su Shi ( helpfully written in English...). The only thing I - but not my travel companion- wanted was a double layer of futon; I am not used to such thin ones.... We both would recommend Usasan's place for a nice and quiet, typically japanese stay.

everything is good, the room is clean just a little bit far from the centre of city but there is one bicycle provided by usasan which made my journey more convenient.

This apartment served us well during our time in Kyoto! Usasan had plenty of amenities (hair dryer, laundry washer, 2 bikes, WiFi, coffee vending machine right outside). The location is in a quiet area north of the majority of tourist attractions in Kyoto, however everything is easily accessible via bus or bike. Additionally, a 5 minute walk brings you to plenty of dining options, a drug store, and a market: an area we visited when we didn't feel up to tracking back down to Kyoto proper for food and supplies. Check in and out was super painless, and Usasan responds quickly to communications via Airbnb. Overall, great stay: safe and low-key neighborhood. I will make note that this place is cozy, and the shower/tub is a snug fit if you are a taller person, however, this did not adversely effect our experience! Nothing a little awkward maneuvering couldn't fix.

Thanks Usasan for a great place to stay. The bikes were such a great help and we rode all the way around Kyoto with them. We went to Golden Temple and then to the Fushimi Temple and back home. The bus stop to the house is only a three minute walk. When you get off at Omiya bus stop, turn left at the first Street and then you'll find the apartment after three minutes. Usasan provides a fantastic book about travel around Kyoto and does everything he can to help!

Everything was alright and usasan provided good service. Finding the apartment was hard thought, as the bus arrived 5min late and usasan already left the station, and I had no Internet connection. The locals where a big help though.

The apartment is good . It located in a quiet community , but there are many supermarkets and convenient stores nearby. You can also walk 5 mins to bus stop . Inside the apartment, you will have all you need ! If you have any problem , Usasan is helpful and willing to help ! I think the best thing is you can use the bike free ! I always ride it to the river nearby. If I go to kyoto again for long stay, I will live here again !

We had a pleasent stay in this Appartement. Usasan was picking us up from the bus stop on the first day so we needn't to spend so much time to find the location of the Appartement. The Appartement is pretty cosy and to take bicycles to cruise around was an option we've used a few times. The area where the Appartement is located is very nice and calm. There is also everything you needed; like supermarkets and bicycle-Store, cafes and so on. Sometimes the wifi struggles. Thank you so much for the good communication - it was really helpful. All the best wishes to you!! Steffi & Malte
