This is our second stay with Gudjon and his family. They are just the sweetest people and such a warm welcome from them!! Our first stay was in a different room but I will say I like this room the best! The private entrance which really helped since we were northern lights hunting we wanted to be able to step out and not disturb the family. Lucky for us, we were able to catch the northern lights just outside his home~ :D Breakfast is provided, clean, spacious room, and you can't beat the heated floors :D such a nice touch. Definitely will come back again if we ever get the chance to visit this beautiful country again~

We spent our last night in Iceland at Gudjon's. The appartment was clean and cosy, we managed to have a good sleep before the flight back home. Gudjon replied really fast to all ma messages and provided very accurate information on how to get to his place, where to park etc. He also offered to pick us up when we have returned the rented car to the owner. Gudjon is a perfect host through ans through.

Gudjon made our brief time in Reykjavik feel like home as he was not only a terrific host, but someone who also provided information about the city to us that you won’t find in any travel guide. In addition to a large bed, the room he has for guests was comfortable and roomy, with television, a pop up table, couch, floor heating, and PLENTY of power outlets. There was also private access to the room from the outside, which made us feel better about staying out in town later without having to bother anyone coming in. Homely touches such as access to a small kitchen with teas, bread, milk, cheese, cereal, and homemade jam really felt extraordinary to experience. It is worth mentioning that many of the modifications in the kitchen area and also the guest bedroom were made by Gudjon himself and thus masterfully crafted with much consideration for his guests. Although he did not have to, Gudjon used his spare time to pick us up and helped us to procure bus tickets; his equally kind son helped transport us to our camper van rental location, which was not the easiest to find. He and his family really displayed kindness and above and beyond hospitality that my girlfriend and I will never forget.

Gudjon is a fantastic host and is a true credit to AirBnB. He was most accommodating, and was incredibly helpful with advice and knowledge. The accommodation itself was great and exactly as stated/pictured.

We loved our stay at Gudjon's place. It's an amazing warm home outside the city centre. Perfect for exploring Reykjavik. Gudjon is a wonderful host. He was very accommodating during our stay. Not only was he a great host but also a superb guide. He taught us a lot about the history of Iceland. He also helped us plan our roadtrip around Iceland by giving us tons of great tips and advice. We feel like we experienced the country in a very personal and unique way all thanks to Gudjon and his family. The place itself is a 15 minute bus ride away from the city centre. Very easy to travel as the bus stop is right around the corner. Our room was nice and cozy with its own entrance. The amenities are shared but that's not a problem at all. Gudjon also very kindly offers breakfast to the guests - it was a nice and tasty touch. We enjoyed our stay with Gudjon - who could easily pass for Jean Reno's long lost brother :) - very much and would greatly recommend his place to anyone. We hope to be back soon!

Fantastic hosts! Gudjon was extremely accommodating and helped us throughout our stay (picking us up, getting up early to drive us to the bus station in the morning). Highly recommended!!
