My place is close to the center of Sofia, public transportation, 24/7 supermarket, the airport, nightlife, coffee shops, open green spaces, sightseeing spots, gym, theaters. You’ll love my place because of the open space, the light, the cozy atmosphere, the interior art style, the comfy spaces, the open kitchen, the comfy bed and pallet sofa, the quiet and yet central neighborhood. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
Welcome to the Mermaid apartment :) The name of the street it is located on is called Rusalka Str., which literally means Mermaid Str. I have lived here for the past 6 years and with the help of dear friends have made it into a cozy and lovely place where you can really feel at home. I hope you enjoy it. It is very spacy and has a lot of light coming in during the day. The living room could be both a workplace and a comfy place for relaxation - the pallet sofa gives it a very nice touch and you can both sit and chill on it as well as sleep through the night. The kitchen is open and very friendly. You will find there a fridge, stove, oven, toaster, coffee pot, grill, juicer, mixer, pots, dishes and everything you need to cook and have a great meal. The bedroom has a very comfy double bed with memory foam mattress and a wardrobe for your clothes. The bathroom has a bathtub and a toilet in it (it is preferable to just use the shower in the bathtub, since the boiler will not be able to heat up enough water to fill it up) and there is also a separate toilet across from the kitchen. The balcony looks over towards Vitosha Mountain and is a nice place to sit down, have a glass of wine and enjoy the view. I have a couple of pretty plants in the apartment which for me are an inseparable part of a homey feeling. The apartment is cool during the summer, but you can also use the available AC in the living room if you feel too hot. Other things that can be useful include a hairdrier, maps of Sofia, eco shopping bags, clean sheets and towels, one set of speakers, books, magazines, spices, herbs, tea, coffee, etc. My building has no elevator, but it is always good to do some cardio every now and then (I live on the 4th floor).
The whole flat is yours, apart from one room that will stay locked if you don't mind - since I live in this apartment, I need a space to keep all of my personal things.
Interaction with guests
I will be available to welcome and accommodate you. If you are coming by plane, there are always available taxis at the Sofia Airport that will take you to my place for the approximate price of 5-10 EUR. If you are coming by car you can very easily find the address by GPS. Please note though that my street does not offer many free parking spots (first come, first served basis). I will be available for further questions either in person or by phone, but I also like to travel, so I might not be in the city during your whole stay.
- I would like you to feel completely at home at my place. So please wash your dishes, keep the apartment clean, throw away the garbage (the containers are just across the street) and smoke on the balcony. In Bulgaria we are accustomed to wearing house slippers and you will find enough at the doorstep. Try to avoid playing loud music after 10pm and before 10am. Always switch off all electricity and electrical appliances before you go out. It would be very kind of you to take care of the plants and water them when necessary.
