The retreat is a one-bedroom cabin located amongst the native plants and made from rough sawn macrocarpa off the farm itself. Watch the sun go down with the amazing ocean views and listen to the bird life in the native bush that surrounds you.
The space
Your experience here at the Palliser Ridge Retreat is all about being off grid and taking time away from technology.
Our solar powered system allows for the basic charging of phones and small items to keep in touch with the outside world, but larger items such as hairdryers and some laptops or Ipad's will not be compatible with our systems.
Unwind and relax in the Kiwi Hot Tub which is nestled in the hillside surrounded by native bush.

General Terms and Conditions for Palliser Ridge
Health and Safety:
Palliser Ridge Retreat is situated within Palliser Ridge, which is a working farm. For the safety of all concerned it’s very important to follow the safety guidelines listed. These terms and guidelines include:
* You are entering our property at your own risk, and we hold no responsibility for any accident or injury incurred while staying at The Palliser Ridge Retreat.
* Visitors to the farm stay at their own risk. This is a working farm with hazards both farm related (ie. machinery and animals) and natural (ie. Ongaonga/stinging nettle).
* Leave gates as you find them and make sure that they are closed correctly.
* Animals are unpredictable. It is best to avoid them at all times unless under supervision of a staff member.
* Extreme caution driving around the property - driving speed limit on the property is slow at all times. No off road/track driving.
* There are specific water hazards for young children on the property this is why we do not allow children to stay - for example, water troughs, dams, streams and the river.
* For your own safety please do not touch any farm machinery, and do not enter the farm buildings on the property unless given permission to do so. All walks are un- guided.
* Any disruption of stock due to negligence will not be appreciated by those that work on the farm. It is important to keep to the designated tracks.
Due to being amidst a working farm, no pets or children are allowed to accompany you on your visit.
* No day guests allowed.
All guests agree to the rules and guidelines as outlined. Management reserves the right to ask any non-conforming guests to leave the property.
